'The Girl With Big Dreams." The first rays of sunlight slipped through the dusty windows of a small garage on the outskirts of Nairobi. Inside, balloons floated near the ceiling, while ribbons, flowers, candles, and boxes of decorations crowded every surface. Amara Njeri, 23, stood in the middle, tying a satin ribbon around a bouquet of white roses. She let out a small, satisfied smile. "This is perfect," she whispered. Mood boards, emerald and gold themes, even a miniature ballroom model. Days later, she walked into a luxury hotel to present. And there, across the room, was the most breathtaking event setup she'd ever seen, and standing beside it, a man in a navy suit, calm and giving instructions. Someone whispered, "That's Adrian Carter. He wins almost every contract in the city." He turned, their eyes met. He smiled politely and walked over. "So," he said, glancing at her display, "you're competing too?" Amara lifted her chin. "I am." His smile widened. "I like confidence." "I like proving people wrong."
