SURVIVING THE GAME

CHAPTER 3

When I was sure everyone was asleep, I snuck out through the window and began my survey. I started out with their training center, it was so massive, you could literally fit two tiny countries in there.

Honestly, I don't know why I'm surprised, our population was probably like that of two tiny countries. I would guess that we were more than 20,000 people who passed the first test, and only 5000 people are accepted each blue lunaris season. I wandered off in another direction, I want to know as much as I can before morning comes. I moved Eastward away from the training ground, towards the woods, it's a bit surprising how untamed the forest looks. I would probably have to scope that out once they tell us to get in it, I can't go there this night there's no way I'd be able to make it back in time before the others wake up, I could probably lie that I went for a run, but what happens if I get back too late, they'd definitely question me or even worse, report me to the authorities for suspicious behavior and I wouldn't want that so I stayed clear away from the forest and started moving in another direction.

All in all, I did a top survey of the whole facility, nothing looked odd but I'm guessing if something were to be odd they wouldn't leave it lying around the surrounding areas of the facility, my best bet is to search underground, finding an entrance is gonna be a pain in my ass.

I snuck back to the room and opened the window to get in, I blindly climbed in expecting to land on my bed and not on something hard. I rubbed my nose cause it hurt and looked up only to see Apollo laying on my bed and I was on his chest. I scrambled up and sat on the bed looking round the room and funny enough they were all awake, waiting for me I see, I've attracted suspicion even when I didn't stay out to long. Apollo spoke up first

"So, wanna explain where you went to?"

"You're not my mom"

"You do know that we have the right to report you, you've been too suspicious for my liking and frankly you look like someone that has something to hide" Zigma said.

"Well if you must know, I went out for an early morning jog, don't know why that seems suspicious to you", I replied to save my ass

"None of us are fools you know" Apollo said "we knew when you snuck out of the room".

Turns out I underestimated their abilities and physical form, of course they knew when I left the room, I didn't even make an effort to mask my presence around them, so it was very obvious when I left, my aura must have disappeared putting them on the edge, even when they were asleep, I made a really careless mistake.

"I went to look around the area, during my trial I was informed that I was to prepare for a test, so I assumed it was a physical training and went to search for the training ground but I lost track of time"

"You could've just said so, did you have to lie about it?" Zigma asked

"Sorry, it's a compulsive thing " I replied him, compulsive indeed, at least I got out of this one. He was about to say something but the morning whistle cut him off and that was our que to get out of our rooms and move out.
