I didn't realize I had actually drifted off to sleep. When I opened my eyes, the sun was already beginning to rise, painting the sky with shades of orange and gold. Realizing I had overslept, I rushed to take a quick shower and hurriedly changed into something formal, trying to fix my appearance as best as I could. Unang araw ko, sa trabaho at naniniwala ako na first impression last.
Pagbaba ko, I was surprised to see Daddy Nero already sitting there.
"What do you two intend to do regarding Elizabeth? She has reached the age of majority and is now able to return to the estate left by her parents.”
“Ako, wala. Hangga't gusto niya manatili dito, okay lang sa akin. Besides, nasanay na ako na nandito siya. Imagine kung gaano ka boring ang mansion ng Buenavista kung kami lang ng babaero natin na Kuya.” Daddy Jack said casually.
“Ikaw, Kuya?” Nero asked, turning to Arthur.
“I want her to move. Hindi ko nagagawa ang gusto ko.”
I literally took a step back, my heart sinking hearing those words. So that’s how he sees me? I’m just a hindrance to his happiness and pleasure?
“Good morning!” I greeted them, trying to sound cheerful as if I heard nothing.
“Hi baby girl,” Daddy Nero immediately smiled at me.
“Good morning, Di. Susunduin mo po ako?” I teased, trying to lighten the mood.
“Nope. Aalis ako ngayon, kaya't bukas ka na lang mag start ng work. Ayaw ko naman iba magpakilala sayo. Okay lang ba?”
“Okay,” I answered with a forced smile.
“Saan ka nga pala pupunta?” Daddy Jack curiously asked.
“Last hearing namin ngayon para sa annulment.”
Halos malaglag ang panga namin lahat sa sinabi niya. Even I was completely shocked. Their family seemed so perfect on the outside, who would have thought?
"Nobody knows except us. But our marriage died a long time ago. Our youngest was only two when we made a deal: once the children came of age, we’d be free to leave. We promised not to get involved with anyone else while we were still married. We kept that promise and stayed together just for the kids.”
“P–Paano na po ikaw after ng annulment?” I stammered, asking him.
“Edi babalik ako dito! Hahahah.” He laughed, winked at me, and gave me a gentle kiss on the cheek.
After Daddy Nero left, an awkward silence filled the room. I quickly scooped some food onto my plate and deliberately ignored Daddy Arthur’s presence. I stormed out of the mansion without saying goodbye and called Xtan to pick me up. We headed straight to his condo, para mawala sa isip ko ang aking narinig at inis din.
“Easy, Love. Ano bang nangyari at nagpapakalasing ka?” Xtan asked, snatching the glass from my hand.
"I heard my three dads talking. Daddy Art wants me to leave because I'm apparently getting in the way of his happiness. Hahaha. Since when did I ever interfere with his s*x life?”
"Why? It's only right that you leave their custody now, especially since you are already of legal age.”
I just rolled my eyes at him. I was so annoyed and frustrated, yet I couldn't find the right words to explain why I felt this way. Ayaw ko ring magsalita ng masama o husgahan ako ng best friend ko, kaya tumahimik na lang ako.
“Uuwi na ako!” I stood up abruptly, feeling the alcohol kick in.
“Ihahatid na kita.” Xtan supported my wobbly body all the way to the car.
Hindi nagtagal, nakarating din kami sa mansion. Hinatid niya ako hanggang sa pinto.
“Uwi na! Bye, Love! Ingat ka!” I shouted, waving goodbye.
Pagbukas ko ng pinto, muntik na akong matumba dahil nakabukas agad ito at si Daddy Arthur ang nakita ko. Mukhang naghihintay siya.
“Bakit lasing na lasing ka?” he asked, his voice deep and serious.
"Why? I'm already of legal age! What's wrong with that?” I answered back defiantly, pushing past him.
Kahit umiikot na ang paningin ko, pinilit ko pa ring umakyat papunta sa kwarto. Pagpasok ko pa lang, tinanggal ko agad ang suot ko at humiga. Pakiramdam ko sobrang init ng katawan ko at parang hindi hiyang sa akin ang whisky na nainom ko.
Suddenly, I felt someone entered my room, so I slowly opened my eyes.
“May problema ka ba?” he asked softly.
“Ang bigat mo na. Malaki ka na nga. Paano kita paliliguan nito.”
Habang nagsasalita ito, nararamdaman ko kahit nakapikit ako na nakatingin ito sa ibabang bahagi ng katawan ko, making me feel conscious and weirdly hot all over.
“Buhatin mo ako, nasusuka ako,” I whispered, sitting up quickly and wrapping my arms tightly around his neck.
Habang karga ako nito, paharap sa kanya, may naramdaman akong matigas na tumama sa pagitan ng mga hita ko. My eyes widened a bit, but my mind was still hazy.
“Tsk! Don't move, baby girl. Baka ma-out of balance tayo,” he warned, his voice sounding different as he carefully placed me inside the bathtub.
The moment the water touched my skin, I immediately held my lower abdomen. Biglang nawala ang antok at lasing ko, napalitan ito ng kakaibang init sa aking buong katawan at parang may bumibigat na pakiramdam sa tiyan ko.
