Realm of the forgotten

Chapter 4

Akara POV;

I woke up still in the car but it seemed that it was parked. I turned to see Eric watching me, which freaked me out a bit.

"Where am I?" I asked him in a sleepy voice.

"You are at my home" he whispered.

I am beyond terrified at this point, not knowing what his plan is and what he will do to me.

I turned my head to look outside the window of the car and see that we were in some place but it was light outside. Upon further looking, I see a building that looks more like a castle than a normal standard home. It was made out of large stone bricks. Vines were growing all over the building. The building itself looked as though it had three stories. The windows were large. Everything looked massive to me. As I was mesmerizing this building, Eric started speaking to me.

"We are about to go inside. I will untie you if you behave and do not cause trouble." he said.

I nodded.

He untied my hands and feet immediately. I felt a bit better as I could move my hands and feet.

He stepped out of the car and walked over to my side, opened the door and held his hand out for me. I stared at his hand for a few minutes before I grabbed his hand and got out of the car.

He stared at me for a minute or two before saying "Come, let's go inside."

My heart is racing. My fear level went higher than before as we were walking towards the giant wooden door of this building. We stood before the door and he opened it easily with one hand. You could clearly see that the door weighed a lot for it to open. No normal person could open it up, but he did it with no effort whatsoever.

Once the door fully opened, my eyes almost popped out of my head at how big the layout was of this building. I looked around and concluded it was a big lounge area. Just a little to my right was the stairs leading up to the second floor. The whole area was mostly white and red with a tinge of gold. You could fit 100 people in this lounge with no problem. That is when it hit me! This guy has money, which means that I would struggle to get away from him. That was what I was thinking till my thought was interrupted by a person talking to us. I saw a man and woman walking towards us.

"Finally! You are here and you are safe", the woman said.

"Good to see you son!" The man said.

Could these people be his parents, I thought to myself.

"Hello Mother and Father," Eric said to them.

"Did you find her?" "Is this her?" His father asked him.

I looked at both of them, confused. Was he looking for me and why?

"Yes father, let me introduce you to Akara, my wife to be," Eric said.

I almost didn’t register the words in my mind. Wife to be? What?

"What?" I asked him with my face looking stunned.

"You heard me. You will soon be my wife," he said.

"Hell no, I am not going to be your wife!" I said, raising my voice to him. He took a step towards me, his face right in front of me only a few inches away. I could feel his breath on my face. My throat tightened and my heart was beating like crazy due to his close proximity. He then moved his face to be next my ear and said in a whispered tone "Well darling, you don't have a choice." Turned and stood again in front of his parents.

I stood there frozen. Unable to process what just happened.

"Well, son, let's get her settled in and we can discuss the rest further. I'll organize dinner," the woman said.

"Very well, mother," Eric said. He turned to me and grabbed my hand, trying to make me follow him, but I wouldn't move.

He turned to me and asked "what's wrong?"

He asked what's wrong? Has he not been here for the past couple of hours or is he trying to keep himself dumb?

"You ask what's wrong?" I asked him in a whisper, my head down. I turned to look at him straight in the eye and yelled at him "WHAT DO YOU THINK IS WRONG?""I have been taken away from my graduation night, from my family and from my realm. I have been tied up in a car and now somehow I am in a different realm and now I am being forced to marry you?! You are freaking crazy if you think I will do that." I said to him in one breath. I was trying to catch my breath when he was right in front of me. Without any warning, he picked me up and threw me over his shoulders and started walking up the stairs. I screamed and punched him all the way to where he was taking me. He opened the door and walked inside. I was still trying to hurt him so way and try to escape. He threw me down onto a bed and said "You will stay here till I or someone will come and get you from this room".

I immediately felt my anger rising, this man is not trapping me in this room whatsover. So I obviously did what anyone would do.

I ran. But again he beat me to the door and closed it. I saw him making a motion with his hand and next thing I know I was blacked out.

Eric caught Akara when she fell asleep. He carried her to the bed and placed her on the bed. He stared at her sleeping face and tucked a stray hair behind her ear.

"Stubborn girl, you have no idea how many who kill just to have you in the palm of their hands. You'll be safe here where can protect you, my dear. "
