strange encounters p-7

Aidden looked at the girl seated across , the words 'Cyan doesn't believe in love ' came like a flying ball hitting his face , he was relieved when he heard that she wasn't involved with anyone. Truth is he wouldn't know what to do if she was taken.the thought of her with another man was sickening to him he felt strange just imagining another man kissing her just like they did back at the supermarket..he didn't understand when he started having these kind of feeling towards her, the possessiveness he felt simply by looking at her was something new to him . he felt like holding her and telling her that he would prove her wrong , love is real and its beautiful, to show her how much he wanted her.

.hearing Rose say that was something he wasn't expecting, It was like water being poured on the fire that was starting to burn inside him..

'Whats with you Aidden ...so what if she doesn't believe in love its not like you love her ..you're just attracted to her right '.he thought and questioned himself . Off course he was attracted to her but there was more he was feeling ..and right now he was wondering why someone wouldn't believe in love all girls at least the ones he'd met always had a dream of falling in love and getting married

well unless for those that were heart broken .

'heart broken could it be that someone broke your heart Cyan'he kept on thinking while looking at her and listening to David who kept on asking her questions and she answered him with a straight face no sign of any remorse or pain in her voice.

"did you get your heart broken ...."

he couldn't help but ask ,he wanted to know if someone did. If so then that person was a fool

as soon as he asked he noticed Cyan turn her head from David to look at him, she was blinking her eyes innocently at him again , which he found really alluring and cute he wondered if she did it on purpose ..off course she couldn't

"hhhm...No" she answered him as frank as ever .

"them how come you don't believe in love " he asked while drinking the wine in his glass. if nobody did then why ..

Cyan went quiet for a few seconds ...then after a while looking down at the glass on her table she took a huge sip from her wine

"love is ......something that people feel a connection right"...

she asked but she looked like she was asking herself more than him

she took another sip and continued

"its not that i think it doesn't exists ..i ...i just think its not meant for some one ...like me"

she smiled the minute she finished saying that .

for the first first time Aidden thought he caught a wave in her eyes the moment she said 'someone like me ' it was like a crack on a bloke of ice that quickly disappeared before he could see what was inside."You just haven't met...... the love of your life yet " Rose winked at Cyan As sure as ever that when the right time came her friend would find someone she can be happy with

that was what she wished for after all .

" oh yeah my Knight will come riding a white hoarse in a shining armor he will bring a hundred roses to me, when he sees me he will know am his one and only true love and together we will ride off to the sunset and live in endless happiness and stay forever young "..Cyan said sarcastically .

"don't get all cute on me Cai just wait and see " Rose laughed and looking at her friend who was teasing her , there was nothing like a knight in shining armor , in these days love was different and sometimes painful , Rose knew this cause she had been in love with other guys who once broke her heart and she swore she'd never love again but then David came and unexpectedly the two fell for each other , the kind of love she and David had was imperfect but worth it ...

it didn't matter when it will happen but she knew Cyan would fall in love someday she just hoped that when that day came the pain wouldn't be of higher gradient compared to the love. .

Cyan didn't understand how the attention shifted to her and now everyone was asking her about love she thought that it was kind of weird how different the world really must be to others ,

Falling in love dating those were strange things to her . now these people were asking the least experienced person at the table about love , it was funny to her if only they knew about how her life was .even if they did would they understand.. no they wouldn't.but she didn't want to talk about this any longer she simply changed the topic and shifted the attention back to the birthday girl....

She looked at Aidden and there eyes met,

Cyan didn't know why but tonight Aidden looked at her like he was seeing through her, it was as if he could see her soul, he wasn't looking at her like he did last time they met, it was different, she couldn't comprehend it it wasn't something she was not used to .Aidden's eyes were not cold like how David's were ,they were not filled with power, greed and disgust like those who hunted her,

they were not filled with lust like those men who were attracted to her body ,

his eyes were different his eyes were gentle like the wind that blew on the beach .like a sunset beautiful to look at. His eyes didn't judge her nor did they criticize her

the more she looked at him the more she felt like she was loosing herself to this silent battle with him and she didn't know what that battle was but it terrified her a little .

"excuse me ....ill go to restroom"

she said and immediately got up and left .

She didn't go to the restroom instead she went to the elevator and went to the last floor of the building. It was almost midnight and the dinner was still going .Rose and David were enjoying the night as the two continued talking and kissing lovingly

Anyone who could see them could tell just how in love they were with each other Aidden couldn't take the lovey dovey scene he was watching even though he had been around these two for a while he simply hated being a third wheel

"get a room you two "he said as he leaned back in his chair

Davids words were enough to make Aidden leave , he simply got up and left .Cyan was standing at the terrace of one of the lounges of the hotel that had a beautiful view of the city the night was calm. she looked at the city that was filled with lights and life .she thought her life was like the city beautiful from afar but once you go deeper it had so many dark secrets buried in its borders.

she subconsciously crossed her arms and held herself as she stood above in the deep midnight .That's all she could do hold herself when the nights got colder,.

Cyan felt her body tense up .she knew this feeling to well it was the feeling of being watched .she could feel someone was watching her and immediately her fighting instinct kicked in,she didn't move or turn around but she could tell someone was there she couldn't feel who it was or how dangerous they were .but all she knew was that she had to be ready for anything .all her life Cyan had met a lot of people who tried to kill her, some she could feel were dangerous just by looking at them and sensing them and others she couldn't tell cause they were very good at hiding the selves

others would pretend to want to help her and later turn out to be one of the people sent by those greedy monsters ,

so as the years went by she learned to trust her instincts and her senses to detect danger.

Cyan slowly clenched her fists and prepared herself for any incoming attack

she could feel the person getting closer and closer ..she closed her eyes and counted his footsteps as he approached ,she could tell by the sound the footsteps made that he was male and soon enough he was four feet behind her .

she opened her eyes and her eyes burned red with blue rings around her irises and greenish pupil with grey rings .

these were her true eyes.

they were like a vortex of fire a fire that was ready to burn whoever crossed its path.

she was about to launch towards her stalker when she heard him say...

"are you cold"
