Pokémon: Rise of Mayank – Chapter 1: The Journey BeginsThe morning sun rose gently over the peaceful town of Pinecrest, casting golden rays over rooftops and trees. Inside a modest home near the edge of town, 13-year-old Mayank stood in front of a mirror, adjusting the strap of his new backpack. With spiky black hair and eyes full of excitement, he could hardly keep still. Today was the day his dream would begin—the day he would become a Pokémon Trainer. Downstairs, the smell of pancakes filled the air as his mother greeted him with a proud smile and a warm breakfast. “You’re up early,” she said as she placed a glass of Oran Berry juice on the table. “I couldn’t sleep,” Mayank replied, grinning. “I’m going to Professor Linden’s lab! I’ll finally get my first Pokémon!” His mom looked at him with soft eyes. “Just like your father,” she said gently. Though Mayank’s father had disappeared years ago on an exploration mission, Mayank had always carried his dream in his heart: to become a Pokémon Master. After finishing breakfast and hugging his mom goodbye, he dashed out the door with excitement bubbling inside him.Professor Linden’s lab stood proudly near the town square—a modern building surrounded by gardens where wild Pokémon played. Inside, machines buzzed softly, and bookshelves lined the walls with research papers and Pokémon encyclopedias. As Mayank entered, Professor Linden turned toward him, his messy grey hair and round glasses giving him the look of a kind old wizard. “Ah, Mayank! Right on time,” the Professor said cheerfully. On the table beside him were three Poké Balls. With a press of a button, the balls popped open, and three Pokémon appeared before Mayank. The first was Flamkit, a small orange kitten with fiery fur and a tail that flickered like a candle flame. The second was Aquareef, a sleek, blue fish-like Pokémon that floated in mid-air, its fins glowing softly. The third was Leafuff, a round, green bunny Pokémon with leafy ears and a peaceful aura. Mayank looked at each one carefully, his heart racing. They were all amazing, but something about Flamkit’s fiery spirit drew him in. “I choose Flamkit!” he declared. The little Fire-type purred happily and rubbed against his leg.Professor Linden smiled and handed him a Pokédex and six Poké Balls. “You’re ready, Mayank. Go out and explore the world. Make friends, discover Pokémon, and follow your dream.” Mayank nodded, holding Flamkit close. “I will, Professor. I promise.” He set off on Route 1, the path leading out of Pinecrest and into the wild. The world stretched before him—fields, forests, rivers, and mysteries waiting to be uncovered. Flamkit trotted beside him, batting at leaves and occasionally leaping into the air in bursts of excitement. As Mayank admired the view, a voice called out from the trees. “Hey! You there!” A boy with spiky blue hair stepped onto the path, a confident grin on his face. “The name’s Kiro. You look new. Let’s battle!” Mayank blinked, then smiled. His first challenge. “You’re on!” Kiro threw out a Poké Ball, and a Sparroweet appeared—a small, bird-like Flying-type with sharp eyes and fast wings. Mayank pointed forward. “Let’s go, Flamkit!” The two Pokémon faced off, and the battle began. “Sparroweet, use Peck!” Kiro shouted. “Flamkit, dodge and use Ember!” Mayank replied. The fight was fast and fierce. Sparks flew and feathers scattered as Flamkit dodged and countered, finally bringing Sparroweet down with a well-placed Ember attack. Kiro called his Pokémon back with a smirk. “Not bad, newbie. I’ll be seeing you around.” As he walked off, Mayank knelt beside Flamkit. “We did it, buddy,” he said, scratching behind Flamkit’s ears. “Our journey’s just begun.”He looked toward the horizon, the sky painted with colors of dusk. With his first battle behind him and the open world ahead, Mayank felt a spark in his heart—a promise to himself, and to his father. He would become something great. A Pokémon Master. And this was only the beginnins
