Chapter 1
Ana POV
I have always believed that a true relationship means love, care, and promises being kept. I used to think I had a perfect boyfriend who loved me dearly, a man who promised me the whole earth and cared about me would never hurt me.
When people say, "Don't trust men, they are like a chameleon and can disappoint at any f*****g time," I laughed at those warnings and thought my Davy was different. I had believed those words were just the pessimism of others, the criticism of those who had never experienced true love.
I believed I had bonded well with him and I was the perfect girl for him.
That belief has been shattered in one horrifying moment. If I had known, I should have announced my presence to avoid witnessing this horrifying moment, but no, I chose to surprise him, and I ended up getting surprised.
The sounds–ragged breathing mixed with desperate moans. My stomach began to churn, and my heart twisted as if it had been pierced by a sharp knife.
My ears refused to get rid of the sound invading the room. I pressed my hand on my chest in pain to steady my breathing, holding the wall for support.
On our bed was Davy, but he wasn't alone. In his arms, a woman moved with a wild passion.
"Oh my God....yes Davy!" Her voice trembled with pleasure.
"f**k, this feels so good" He let out a soft groan.
I stood there, paralyzed, as I watched every detail. She lay on the bed, shooting her ass out for a good doggy, her face buried in the pillow as she held the bed sheets tightly. Davy knelt behind her ass, his hands gripping her butt tightly as his shaft moved in and out of her a good sync with her ass moving in a good sync, forming a perfect rhythm.
Each thrust made her scream.
My eyes burned with shock and betrayal.
"Why would he do that? What did I do to deserve this punishment?" I thought over and over, but with no Answers, and the pain of the betrayal cut through my heart every second.
I clutched onto my tote bag tightly, my knuckles turning white.
"Yes, I'm cumming.... Elsie," my fist tightened tighter at his announcement and before I knew it, a scream burst out of my lips.
"Davy!" I yelled. They both froze, realising someone had been in the room watching them.
My eyes darted in the woman's direction, and our eyes met. In that split second, I recognized her instantly.
Elsie, my close friend, someone who I had trusted and believed in. My jaws dropped in disbelief. The woman I took as my sister and cried with me was part of this cruel scene. It felt as if the betrayal was complete.
I felt as if my world had crumbled around me. Everything I believed in, every promise of love and care, was now nothing more than a painful lie. My heart ached with a deep sorrow that I had never known before. I could barely stand, my legs weak and trembling as I struggled to process the unbearable truth.
In that moment, I learned that promises can be broken and that the person you trust most can hurt you in ways you never imagined.
Now, I am left with questions that have no clear answers. I wonder how I could have been so blind, how I could have ignored the small signs that led me here. I question my worth, my judgment, and the very nature of trust. I know that healing will be a long, difficult journey and that the memory of this day will haunt me for a long time.
Elsie, my so-called friend, slowly sat on the bed, not minding to cover her naked body. She looked unbothered by everything and I could see her lips curving into a smirk, her eyes giving a cold expression that I had never seen.
Davy reached for his pants and hurriedly wire them, his gaze never leaving me. His expression was mixed with guilt and panic.
"E–El–Elsie," I stammered.
"Are you going to keep standing there, or do you want to take a seat and watch the rest?" Elsie said, her eyes rolling as she laughed. The hollow sound made my skin crawl.
"Are you serious, Elsie? Don't you feel sorry for your actions?" I managed to say, in disbelief.
"Sorry? For what? Is it for sleeping with Davy? Oh please, spare me that. If he were really yours, he wouldn't be here banging my ass, would he?" She asserted, arching an eyebrow.
Her words hit me like a punch. I opened my mouth to talk but nothing came out. I turned to Davy, hoping – no praying he would tell me all this madness is a prank.
"Davy," I whispered, my voice breaking. His head was hung low in guilt.
"Esme, I....I... didn't know what came over me....it just happened," His voice faltered.
"It just happened? You don't accidentally fall into a bed with someone. It was a choice, and you made one; you chose to betray me," I said, my voice raising.
"I know. I messed up. I’m sorry. I don’t know what I was thinking. Ana, I'm sorry," He apologized, wincing in guilt.
"You weren’t thinking," I shot back. "You never think about anyone but yourself. Was everything you told me a lie? All those promises, the future we planned together.
..was it all just bullshit?"
"Ana, I can explain," He uttered, and I shut him up with a finger.
"There's nothing to explain. I have seen it all," I replied. "And you—” I turned to Elsie, who was smiling, seemingly enjoying everything that was happening.
"How could you? You were supposed to be my friend. We shared everything. I trusted you, Elsie!" I yelped, throwing my tote bag at her angrily, and she fired it back to my chest.
"You trusted me, but that’s your problem. I didn’t ask for it. Besides, you’ve always been so naive, Ana. How long do you think he can withstand your childish whining when you're not a toddler," Her words sliced through me, leaving a raw wound.
"Elsie, stop," Davy murmured.
"Look here, Ana. Davy has no future to build with you. You starve him sexually, no love of affirmation, and you expect him to remain loyal?" Her words were infuriating, but beneath it, she was right and wanted to hurt me, to prove that she had won. But this ain't a trophy, it's a disaster.
"Enough, Ana!" He yelled, facing him as the remorsefulness began to twist into defensiveness.
"But Ana, you caused it, you suffocate me! You act like everything has to be perfect all the time. You hold on so tight, I couldn’t breathe. You whine over every little thing when you're not a kid" His sudden shift caught me off guard.
"I suffocated you?" I repeated, my lips parting.
"Yes!" He shouted, his face red, veins straining against his skin. "You make everything so damn serious. You want plans and promises and… and a future! I couldn’t keep up. I needed a break. I needed someone who wasn’t constantly trying to fix me."
Elsie got off the bed and tried to walk out of the room when I gripped her hair, pulling her backwards.
"You're the cause of it," I cried out, watching her struggle to free herself.
My hands let go of her hair at the resounding slap landing on my face. "Can you stop looking for someone to blame!"
