Chapter 2: Hope at First Sight

The party had just started, and my fiancé was busy out there greeting his friends while I just sat down in here waiting for my friend.
When a woman entered wearing a red glittery dress, red pointed heels, and diamond earrings, I knew she was finally there. My friend! I didn't know that she'll wear red, because red gives a "b*tchy" vibe.
Her eyes lurked around and her face turned to disgust. She knew that I hated her and I hated to be engaged, but she supported me in whatever decision I made.
When her eyes turned on me, she gave me a wink. She said if I hated it here, she could take me away and escape, but I said "no" because I didn't want her family and my family to have an issue. I know how my parents would react if she took me away here.
She walked up towards me and reached me before whispering. "This party sucks! Your fiancé looks creepy," she laughed and simply gave an obnoxious expression before sitting on my side.
Now, I'll tell her my plan, I hope she won't be against this because it involves her cousin. Well, she's the cousin of Alpha Damon. Dark blood runs in their veins.
"You know what? I planned something," I started a conversation. Her right eyebrow raised, indicating to me to continue what I was saying.
"I plan to run away with your cousin, Alpha Damon." I smiled widely which caused her to be astonished at her position. This woman in front of me is the cousin of the commander of this land and of course, my savior.
When she recovered in shock, she smiled a little and scratched her head. "Have you thought how crazy your idea is? He'll probably reject your crazy offer."
My mind instantly thought about my idea. Kierra is right, her cousin would refuse the idea of running away with me, especially since he doesn't know me and I'm a daughter of a well-off family. It will be troublesome for him.
However, he's powerful. I know how fearless that man is. "How about... you persuade him?" I smirked at her. Please, Kierra, just help me with this one.
"No way! I still love myself!" She backed off. "Besides, your fiancé is like an angel, how could you just go and run away from him? He's the most kindhearted alpha in this land!" She claimed and smacked the desk three times.
My eyebrows met. Here she comes in defending that demon again! "How many times am I going to tell you? He's not an angel, he is in disguise. He's different from what he shows when he's in front of everyone!" I whispered frantically, how can I even make this woman understand what Geib's true nature is? She's so difficult!
"Are you for real? What if you're just overthinking? I can see how much he cares for you..."
I looked at Geib who's currently looking at me. At first, you can see that he looks sincere. But if you look closer, possessiveness and lust lie between those eyes. He smiled and waved at us which made the woman beside me squeal.
"See how he stares at you? He's so sweet!" Her eyes gleamed as she put her hands below her face and swayed. This woman doesn't know how to check properly!
If you look closely at him. Behind those innocent eyes, lies foolishness and hypocritical behavior. She just met him and I know she can't still see his true nature. Just how can he hide those dirty emotions he has been expressing to me lately?
"You're the one who thinks that it looks like that. I'm telling you, Kierra, that man is dangerous! And I'm not going to marry him!" I whispered to her. If she's just going to side him, why don't she just marry him instead of me?
"At least he likes you more than my cousin who doesn't like anybody, you'll be in danger more if you get along with him!" She whispered again while lurking her eyes around to see if anyone could hear us.
I'm so stressed. I don't want to end up with someone that I don't love! How many times should I need to tell her?
Also, I believe that I can convince her cousin. With this alluring face and body? No one can deny how good I am at making someone fall.
I looked at Alpha Damon's direction and I saw no one. Where did that gorgeous creature go?
Kierra keeps blurting things while I'm busy finding the Alpha, what if I go and follow that man? I have to negotiate with him so I can be sure that I can escape.
"You know what? I think I need to pee..." I said while still roaming my eyes. "What? Why?" She asked but I ignored her and just walked straight to the exit while carefully watching if my mother was near.
When I finally reached the exit, my eyes instantly searched for him. I can't see him, he's not here, where can I find him?
I'll try in the garden!
I ran to the garden and searched for him there but he was not there! Where would I find him?
"What are you doing here, woman?"
My whole system instantly froze when I heard a deep baritone voice. That's when it hits me, it's the Alpha. The Alpha that I've been searching for, it's Alpha Damon.
"A-alpha Damon..." I stuttered. It's too obvious how I'm nervous for this man. Well, he can kill me in an instant, who could never shiver with that, right?
"You're following me, huh? You're brave. But not enough to face me."
I closed my eyes tightly and exhaled a huge amount of air. I need to face him. It's for my future too!
I turned to him and looked at his eyes. How can this man be so deadly gorgeous? Whatever! I need to tell to him now directly!
Please, self, cooperate. I'm begging you! Have the courage to tell it to him. I need to marry him!
"W-will you marry me?"
