Brenda Higgins buzzed Mike Beck on the intercom. “I know you’re getting ready for the R & T trial, but I thought you would want to talk to Mr. Darvin from the Marines in New Orleans. Knowing that you spent the weekend there with Wrong Way, I expect he wants to talk to you about some criminal charges involving underage girls.”
“All I have to say is that she looked twenty-one and swore she was nineteen.” Brenda laughed and put Dave Darvin through.
“Hello, Lieutenant Colonel Beck. This is Dave Darvin. How did you and your Deputy enjoy New Orleans this weekend?”
