“She's probably dead, I can't see her chest rising and falling” He said, their voices though a bit faint, I could make out what they were saying perfectly well. The pain from my privates reminded me of the kind of ordeal I had just passed through In their hands. “Yeah man, she looks dead,” Liam said, I could detect the fright in his voice. If he was that frightened, then why did he do such a wicked thing to me? “If she's dead just throw her body away, she's an Omega anyways and no one is going to miss her”I could hear Stanley say in a careless tone, like I was a rag which had gotten spoiled and useless. “That's cold? Man, I feel goosebumps” Lucas laughed sarcastically. I felt so cold and abandoned, I could hear Liam's panicked screaming, Lucas Snickers and Stanley trying to calm Liam down. “Let's dump her at the outskirts of the borders” And that was the last thing I heard before I blacked out. HOW IT ALL STARTED “Hey, what are you still doing there! What about my salad!” A voice yelled from the dining room. “I asked you to get me Ketchup, why aren't I seeing it here on this table?” another yelled, banging loudly on the dining table. I flinched at the sound, the spoon I was holding in my hand almost dropping on the floor. Welcome to my life, the life of a worthless omega living in the midnight pack. Ever since I turned 10, they had begun to treat me differently. They weren't like this before, but I guess that it was after the death of my parents, parents which I had no memory of. But from the little snippets I remembered, I knew that my mother and father adored me a lot. I was their little princess when they were still alive but now that they are dead ,I was nothing but an unwanted omega who is being treated cruelly by the pack that my parents had entrusted me to. “What are you looking at in a daze, start serving the dessert, everyone is waiting for you” the Luna of the pack yelled, giving Me the stink eyes. I shuddered in fear, hurriedly placing the delicate well made pies , cakes and pudding into a large heavy tray and carrying it towards the large dining table where everyone in the pack was seated, eating and chatting happily. The tray was covering my sight so when someone set out their legs for me, I was unable to avoid it and you can guess the rest. I found myself on the floor with the tray of desserts falling with me, its contents splattering everywhere. There was commotion in the pack house as all the pack members murmured loudly. “You little imp! How dare you?” Luna Screamed at me . “I'm sorry mam, I wasn't looking, someone put out their foot and tripped me” I said I'm a crying tone. “Stop quibbling, who are you trying to blame for your mistakes” she hushed me, backhanding me . “Stop that Rosetta, let the little girl talk and besides I saw Lucas put out his foot to trip her” Mama Daphne,the alpha's mother and previous Luna said. Though Mama Daphne didn't have a rank in the pack anymore,pack members still had to show respect to her as disobeying her was tantamount to disrespecting the Alpha. Luna glared at me before turning over to Lucas “Is that true Lucas? Did you trip her?” She asked him. Lucas frowned and denied “That's a lie Luna, I never tripped her, she was the one who didn't see that my leg was in the way” “Shut your mouth you little child, you are serving punishment and that's final mama Daphne said to Lucas. Lucas grumbled and glared at me, making me almost wet my pants, I knew what that look meant. He was going to get back at me for implicating him. “This pack has been a disaster since the arrival of this girl, I told Ethan not to bring her here, she probably brought the bad luck of her folks with her” Luna grumbled angrily and stalked out of the dining room. Breakfast this morning ended in a disaster all because of me. © © © ‘Thwack!’ “What did I tell you?” The Alpha growled, raising the belt high over his head, descending it on my naked body. “I shouldn't make a fuss and cause commotion in the Pack house” I whimpered, pain wrecking through my body. “Yet you still go on feeling entitled and blaming people for your mistakes” “Thwack!” Another whip “I didn't…it was Lucas!...” “Shut the f**k up!” He yelled In an enraged tone and kicked me, I guess he was now tired of using the whip , now was the time to use his fists and his legs. I was about to take a beating which would make me end up an inch away from death. © © © “Nice makeup you have there” Lucas snickered, pointing at the purple bruises all over my body and my half shut swollen eyes “I told you not to worry, my dad would take good care of the little wench” Stanley laughed leaning on the wall . The three of them had me cornered in an abandoned corner. Stanley,Lucas, Liam. I bent my head submissively, knowing that nothing I could say would be able to stop what would happen to me today or make them change their mind. From what I had learnt, keeping quiet was the best option. “I still feel pissed off, just because of this b***h I was tasked to watch those snotty brats” Lucas gritted as he clenched his fist, getting ready to punch me. “Just get it over, let's leave, we have a party to attend” Stanley snorted, bringing out a stick of cigarette from his pocket. A punch landed on my face, followed by a kick , and then I was left, much more bruised than ever before. When will this kind of life stop?
