His Lips On Mine.

Chapter 19. Noria Carter. “So that’s the kind of guy you go after?” Lucan asked, finally breaking the long-overdue silence. I was in his car now, and I could swear that for over 30 minutes now, we had not said anything to each other. Lucan had stood up for me. He had spoken against Nathan and scared him off, but the only thing he had not done was speak up for me at the restaurant. And I expected it. I expected him to speak up for me. With all his power, with all his affluence, he could have easily asked the manager to let me stay, but he had not, and right now, I do not want to feel entitled, but a weird part of me would have appreciated it if he had helped. I sucked in some breath now, finally raising my gaze to meet his. Just because he had helped me out doesn’t mean he got to be present in my life. “That’s none of your business,” I shot back now, looking away from him. From the corner of my eyes, I watched his jaw twitch. “It’s none of my business, yet you had stayed caught up in that mess. How did you intend to save yourself?” His voice was calm now, but it felt insufferably loud. Maybe it was because this was the first time I was going to hear him speak so concernedly, and this was the first time I was hearing him say more than his usual one- or two-word replies. “I would have helped myself.” “How?” he cut me off immediately. “By standing there and asking him to stay away from you?” “Why do you care?” I fired back angrily now. “I do not.” He replied equally, and that should not hurt, but my heart sank instantly, and tears filled the brim of my eyes. “If you don’t care, then don’t talk about it! Don’t lecture me.” “Get your act together.” He added, and in that very moment, I lost my entire cool. The tears that I had been holding spilled now, and I burst into tears. “What now? You think you are better than me? Just because you barely say more than one word and hide all your pain beneath that cold, indifferent mask of yours, you suddenly think you are better than me?” My voice quivered now because every word I said was out of anger. “You have no right to judge me, Lucan! Everyone cannot be cold. I know you don’t like me, and I equally don’t like you, but what I hate most is having you speak down on my personality! I am just a lady trying to live amidst the fake smiles that people offer.” Lucan went silent now, his eyes cold and indifferent as usual. My heart rose and fell in an unsteady way, tears building up in my eyes again. The silence between us was heavy now, and I thought, I really thought, Lucan was going to say something soft, anything to calm my mind, but… “Being loud doesn’t equal happiness, and dating a guy like that doesn’t guarantee you love.” A scoff rolled past my lips. “What do you know about love?” I shot, knowing that a man like him was not capable of loving anyone. Lucan went dead silent, and I could tell that my words had struck a nerve. Just when I finally thought he wasn’t going to say anything else, he spoke again. “I might not know anything about love, but I can also detect a lie when I see one.” My body went completely still, and… weirdly enough, my traitorous eyes fell on his lips, lingering there while a raw, dirty image of his mouth sucking on my wet p***y played in my mind. I blinked back gently now, looking away for a brief second, but not only could I not keep my gaze still, my p***y decided to disappoint me by dripping. Yes. I was dripping. Not entirely drenched, but I could feel a wetness, like moisture. Seriously? Dripping for a man that I hate? For the very man I had yelled at some seconds ago? I sucked in a breath, then tried to look away, but before I could, Lucan spoke. “Heartbroken people don’t look like that.” “Like what?” I asked, trying to sound feisty. “Like they want to be eaten.” He said calmly, blowing my cover while letting his eyes trail down my entire body in a slow and tantalizing manner. My p***y twitched now, and every nerve in my body went still. What was he? A mind reader? Because, right now, my p***y was dripping, and this time, I didn’t want a finger. I looked at his lips now, and my p***y? It churned because I truly wanted him to spread my legs and bury his face against my p***y, eat me out, and make me cry like a needy slut. But I can’t let anything happen between us again because not only was he my best friend’s dad, he was also someone I hated. Our relationship had to remain that way. I pushed the thoughts out, then looked away completely now. “How insensitive,” I mumbled under my breath, but Lucan heard it because instantly, his hand shot forward and he grabbed my neck, wrapping his fingers around my throat and pulling my face closer to his in one rough movement. “Lucan….” I gasped softly now, my breath hitching as we came face-to-face, our lips almost brushing against each other. “What did you call me?” His voice was calm and soft, yet heavy against my cheeks. My skin tingled from the warmth of his breath, and my body shuddered softly now. I opened my mouth to speak, but my words died down; the only thing that was in my head was… his lips and how gorgeous he looked. I searched his eyes gently now, my throat tightening while my mouth and p***y longed for something greater. “You are insensitive…” I managed to whisper in a breathless tone, still searching softly through his eyes while needing him to do something to me. Lucan’s lips stretched, a smile forming at the corner of his lips. “You dare call me insensitive. Tell me… will you feel that way when I touch your p***y and make you moan, huh?” His voice was low, and his eyes were dark with hunger. My eyes widened at his words, and I tried to speak, but before I could think, before I could process my words or even let them out, Lucan leaned forward, slamming his lips roughly against mine, kissing me harshly before sneaking his huge hand to the back of my waist and pulling my body closer into his, our bodies closing the space between them.
