That night, Nyra went to bed early, hoping she would finally get some rest. But the moment she closed her eyes, she found herself back in the same place
The accident. The dream felt real.
She saw the road covered in rain, the sound of glass breaking, and the fear she had felt that day.
She tried to remember what happened, but everything was unclear. The harder she tried to see, the more the memory slipped away. A voice called out to her. Nyra !" The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't remember who it belonged to. She turned, trying to find the person, but all she could see was darkness.
Then everything went dark. Nyra woke up suddenly. Her breathing was heavy, and her hands were shaking. She sat up and looked around her room, reminding herself that she was safe. The dream had felt too real.
She wiped the sweat from her forehead and took a slow breath. Every time she had the dream, it felt a little clearer, yet she still couldn't remember what had really happened that day.
She got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to drink some water. She stood quietly for a moment, trying to calm herself. Then she heard it.A wolf sound.
Nyra froze.
She slowly turned toward the window.
The sound had come from outside.
She walked closer and looked through the glass, but the darkness outside made it impossible to see anything. The forest stood quietly in the distance. There was nothing there.
She listened carefully. For a few seconds, everything was silent. Then the wind gently moved the trees, making the branches sway. She couldn't tell if what she had heard had been real or if her imagination was playing tricks on her after the nightmare.
After a few minutes, Nyra stepped away from the window. She told herself it was probably just an animal. She returned to her room and went back to sleep.
The next morning, Nyra woke up early and prepared herself for the day. She got dressed, grabbed her notebook, and left the house. The fresh morning air helped clear her mind. As she walked through the streets of Bled, she noticed that the town looked much livelier than it had the day before.
A few more people were outside, opening shops and walking to work. Evren so, the strange feeling she had carried since arriving still hadn't disappeared.
When she arrived at college, she waited near the entrance, expecting to see Evren.
While she was waiting, a girl walked toward her.
The girl was around 5'6" with a slim figure, a soft face, bright eyes, and short hair. She looked neat and fashionable, carrying herself with confidence.
She stopped in front of Nyra and smiled.
Hi, I'm Vesper Hale."Nyra smiled back.
I'm Nyra Vale. Nice to meet you."Nice to meet you too," Vesper replied.
For a moment, they stood quietly before Vesper looked at Nyra's notebook.
I noticed you have been trying to find information about Bled she said.
Nyra looked surprised.Yes. I have."
Vesper's expression changed slightly.
Be careful. You don't know when danger can find you. Nyra frowned.
What do you mean? For a second, Vesper looked as though she wanted to explain. Instead, she simply gave a small smile.
Just be careful Before Nyra could ask another question, Vesper walked away.
Nyra watched her leave, thinking about her words.
Be careful What did she mean? Why had she looked so serious? Before she could think about it longer, someone spoke behind her.Hey, what's up?"Nyra turned around. It was Evren.Hi," she said. "I'm good. How about you?"I'm good too."
They smiled before walking together toward the cafeteria. As they walked, Evren pointed out a few buildings around the campus and explained which departments used them. Nyra listened carefully, grateful that someone was finally willing to talk to her.
They sat down and started eating while talking about simple things. They spoke about their classes, their professors, and what they liked studying. After a while, Evren looked at her.Can I ask you something?"Nyra looked up.Sure."
Why are you so curious about Bled?"
Nyra became quiet for a moment.
She looked down at her food before answering.Something about this town doesn't seem right. I just want to understand it."
Evren studied her expression.That's all?"
Nyra looked at him.She wasn't sure if she could trust him enough to tell him about the dreams, the strange feeling she had since arriving, or the wolf sound she heard last night. So she only nodded.Yes. That's all."
Evren accepted her answer, but Nyra noticed the way he looked at her.
It almost seemed like he knew she wasn't telling him everything.
For a brief moment, he looked as though he wanted to ask another question, but instead he simply nodded and continued eating.Changing the subject, Nyra asked,
I saw you with a group of guys yesterday.Who are they?"Evren smiled.
They're my friends. More than friends, actually. They're like family."Oh," Nyra said. "That's nice."You'll probably meet them sooner or later."I guess I will."
As they continued talking, Nyra noticed someone sitting not far away from them.
He wore black clothes and had dark hair. He was tall, and there was something about his appearance that made him look intimidating. His face was serious, almost cold.
He wasn't talking to anyone.Instead, he seemed to be quietly watching the room.
Nyra looked at him for a moment. The man seemed to notice her.
Their eyes met for only a second before she quickly looked away. She couldn't explain why, but something about him made her uncomfortable.A strange feeling settled in her chest, similar to what she had felt when she first arrived in Bled.
Before she could think about it more, Evren's friends approached the table.
This time, they came closer.
Evren looked at Nyra.Nyra, these are my friends."The group greeted her.Nice to meet you."Nyra smiled politely.Nice to meet you too."
They introduced themselves one by one, joking with each other as they spoke. Their easy conversations made it clear they had known one another for years.
Nyra looked at them one by one, trying to remember their faces. She had only been in Bled for a short time, but already she had met several people who made her feel like there was more to the town than anyone was willing to say.
As everyone continued talking, Nyra quietly reached for her notebook. She opened it beneath the table and wrote down a few thoughts.
The people of Bled seemed friendly.
But they were hiding something.Vesper's warning. The strange man in black.
The silence whenever anyone mentioned the town
None of it felt like a coincidence.
Nyra closed her notebook and looked around the cafeteria one more time.
Bled was full of unanswered questions.
