Chapter 39: Battle the demon king Ziggy (Part 1)

Currently on the top floor. Yusael and everyone thinks that it's over because they can't sense Melida anymore. Then a giant pitch-black thing emerges from the throne.

"Hahahahaha... To think that you outwit Melida... I should have myself join the fun."

The pitch-black thing started to form into a man. He a giant man muscular man and has a black garment on his body. He wears an upper half skull mask and he was smiling. A creepy being appeared.

"... I'm the demon that controls this event. My name is demon Ziggy."

Suddenly gravity became intense and the tower's crystallized form became dark again. Ziggy absorbs every magic the tower has and transfers it to himself.

" This dense gravity pushing us down."

Said Lucas.

Ziggy continues talking.

"... Melida fell to my trap and made her believe that this place is meant to revive the witch... I used her to gain my self-power. I'm still not in 100% form but this is enough since Melida has no more use to me."

"You're the mastermind in everything that happened here."

"Yes... I am... The master of the witch cult. I'm the one that they all try to revive and workshop. because of that I regain my energy and make some people to became demon contractors to have their despair. Despair, hate, and evil is my source of power! I used Melida's lack of memory from the past and make her believe that people are ugly creatures. An ugly creature that needs to be killed. With that, I became more... more... more powerful... hahaha!"

"This demon sure is nuts."

Glenn said and open his grimoire.

from the bottom of the floor.

Three expected characters came.

"Sorry, we are late!"

Said Ren with him are Yuna and Kuro.

"Hey, what happened to the other demon contractor. We demolished them with our combined strength."

Kuro replied.

"... It's been while mister knight."

Kuro greeted William.

"You look like someone not tired."

"That's not true... I was tired, I wanted to sleep now."

Replied Kuro.

"What is with that ugly thing? I never saw a bad guy that so obvious."

Said Yuna after seeing Ziggy.

"An Archangel, A vampire, A knight, A terrorist, and A liberation group... feels like a final battle."

Said Ziggy.

Now that they reached the last floor. Ren started to think about where is Hikari. He looks in every direction and saw nothing.

"Where is Hikari?"

Footsteps from behind were heard.

"Don't worry about me... The damage I got is not that much."

The one who talked is the vessel of the witch herself. She walked to Yusael, Lucas, and Williama n smack them to the head.

"Ouch! What is that for?"

Asked Lucas.

Earlier, when they enter the final floor Hikari is laying behind the thrown with sealing talisman all over her body. With the massive magic Lucas, William and Yusael used. Hikari was also hit and fall from the top floor. The flame from the dragon burns the talisman that seals her and makes Hikari used her magic to have a proper landing.

With Hikari's magic, she climbs the tower by a wall and now she is here.

Seeing Hikari having fun make Ren smile.

"I never think that you're close to them."

"I'm not close to them! Also, thanks for coming all the way here just to see me."

Said Hikari and held Ren's hand.

Ren and Hikari saw each other before got reunited.

"Ahem! That's not the time for that..."

Said Yuna as she distracted the two.

The gravity started to get more intense and make everyone knee to the ground.

"Presence of the demon: Gravity pressure."

"Dark magic: Witch black hole!"

Hikari magic is darkness. It's magic same with the witch that resides in herself. The black hole Hikari created sucks up the gravitational force and makes everyone moving. Casting different magic at the same time they battle Ziggy.

After the cloud of smoke, Ziggy is still standing smiling.

"Is that all? Sucking all the magic with his left hand. He then released it with his right arm with full power.

Everyone makes flee. Because this power hit them they know that it's death.

The tower magic and ability to regenerate is also sucked by Ziggy. The tower started to crumble and fall. They all fell to the ground and continue their battle there.

"Not done yet!"

Drawing a magic circle with his hand. Ziggy cast magic that makes small meteors came falling to Steel Island.

The meteor was seen in the kingdom and Celest. Scarlet saw it and became worried.

"Self-offering love!"

Yusael's ability is activated. The self-offering love makes the ally gain buff and not take damage. The damage will be taken by Yusael instead. With this Yusael was able to share her vitality with the ally.

"Let's go and destroy the meteors."

Everyone agrees.

Using their magic they destroy the upcoming meteors. Ziggy planned this to destruct them and targeted Ren. Ziggy even with his giant body was able to move at high speed. Ren receive the punch and got buried to the rocks.

"Ren!" shouted Hikari with a worried tone.

"You're the next one the dark magic user!"

Ziggy then go to Hikari.

From the rocks, Ren angrily charges in.

"Don't touch Hikari! Fire blaster!"

Fire blaster is the skill Hanayuki told Ren earlier. By focusing the magic in one area and blasting it with high speed. It cut Ziggy's finger. Hikari then makes a distance to Ziggy.

"Gravity magic: Push down!"

Ren was pushed to the ground.

"Sword sword of judgment!"

William with his angel warrior Angelus makes the same magic and hits Ziggy. Ziggy is the same height as Angelus. He grabs its sword and breaks it afterward destroy Angelus completely.

"Dragon magic: Tragon talos!"

Lucas attacked hit Ziggy but it's absorbed by its left hand.

"Is this all you can do? I will play with you and kill you before I go to the kingdom of Arsland to play with King Arthur."

Ziggy said.

`...

"Hanayuki... What are we doing here?"

"I don't remember things fully myself but I remember some memories with you. I know that you're not a bad girl."

Hanayuki said.

"But I did horrible things..."

"Don't worry if we defeat that demon then you atone to your sins."

Said Hanayuki.

Melida started to think it was right and followed Hanayuki toward the cave to get something.

In the Steel Island.

"I'm still in my 70%... I need more power, If you all didn't interfere I will have the power of the witch and gain 100% of my original power. All of you will pay for that... Release!"

Releasing flame more powerful than the flame the dragon produce. Ziggy put the forest side into an inferno.

Safely, everyone dodges the powerful attack.

"My magic cut through dimensions! Space magic: Dimension s***h!"

Said Kuro with his space magic.

Cutting through Ziggy's left hand. Glenn and Yusael followed it by cutting its right hand.

"Anti-magic Cutter!"

"Holy lightsaber!"

Ziggy used his mouth and breath flames blasted to Yusael. With his anti-magic sword, Glenn block it and got blasted instead. Yusael caught him down and fly him to a safe place.

Yuna and William used and Ultimate magic.

"Ultimate magic: Sword of Destruction!"

Same with Yusaels two giant swords from heaven came falling to Ziggy.

"Gravity magic! Change force!"

Ziggy changes the direction of the gravity and makes everything pull upward in the steel Island. Even the people in basecamp were affected by it. The tree's started to uproot. because of the change of Gravity, the sword of destruction didn't fall.

Regenerating his arms back, Ziggy jump up high and touched the two swords with his left hand. Sucking its form and power. Ziggy gain more power. From his 70%, it turns into 75% of his real demon power.

After making the group immobile. Ziggy make a gravity ball and blasted it on each people in the group.

"Feel the power of the demon."

Opening his Grimoire Glenn used store magic and cast it. A smokescreen suddenly appeared from the book covering each adventurer.

Glenn doesn't have any magic in his body. But he can use store magic. Like the magic cards, the grimoire is used almost in the same way. Each page of Glenn's grimoire contains a spell and can be released. Glenn travels from many places and gather the magic and store it inside his grimoire making it as his own power.

Even born as nothing Glenn is strong.

"Acceleration!"

Glenn used another magic that boosts his speed toward Ziggy and with his anti-magic sword. He stabs Ziggy to its chest.

"That won't work."

"I know it won't but this one behind me."

"Dark magic: Dark gale!"

"Gravity magic: Pull down!"

Ziggy's magic won't work because of the Antimagic stab on his chest. Negating the cast of the magic. Ziggy can't even use his left and right arm magic. that can suck and released magic.

"Anti-magic brat!"

The s***h gives Ziggy a deep wound in his body. With his hand, He grabs Glenn and throws it to the sea. Yusael flies to save him and heal him with holy light magic.

"Thank you Yusael-san."

"It's okay."

Yusael replied.

"Damn that anti-magic brat and dark magic-user. I can't even regenerate the damage from dark magic."

"That's because dark magic is a special magic that can cut demons. the witch inside me gives me this power. I will make use of it and destroy evil."

Ren then remembers the time when Hikari used to read the stories of heroes. Those are the stories that make Hikari want to travel the whole world. Like the hero and defeat evil.

Ren seems to understand that Hikari is already following her dreams and smile.

"Our magic doesn't affect that. We should just use skill instead."

Kuro instructed the group.

"Sorry but I don't have any skill, I will just support everyone from behind."

Said Yusael.

"Sword skill is the only thing we can use for now. No problem."

Said Ren.

"Dark magic: dark cloak!"

Hikari cast a spell that warp everyone with a black cloak. Making gravity magic ineffective to them.

"Holy light magic: the blessing of light."

Followed by Yusael's magic that boosts everyone's stats.

Figuring out the effective way to battle. Ren and everyone started to have hope on the battlefield.

Yuna, Ren, Hikari, Glenn, Kuro, Lucas, and William used their sword skill in the same time different direction.

Ziggy received the attack and endure the pain. Ziggy then counter back with his fist toward Wiliam.

He then put everyone into the distance.

"Do you think you can kill me? You can't kill me!"

Shouted Ziggy.

From the sky, two beasts came and punch Ziggy on a different side of his face.

"Demon Beast god fist!"

"Heavy impact punch!"

Pure strength is put into Ziggy. A super effective way to damage the demon Ziggy.

"That was fun..."

"Yeah..."

In that time Pithon and Glator arrive not as enemies but as friends.

They put their fist together in each other's chest and said:

"As a brother of pure strength, we will battle this evil."

"As the brother of pure strength, we will join this battle."

"Don't forget about me."

Aria appeared in the scene.

"What happened back there?"

Asked Glenn.

"Long story Glenn... We should focus on this scary thing first."

"Scary thing?" 8x

Everyone started to think that Glator and Pithon have the same scary face as Ziggy.

"Brother of pure strength... Let's do this."

"I'm ready."

Roaring!!! Pithon and Glator used their pure strength and fight Ziggy. Consecutive punches everywhere were thrown at Ziggy's body. Ziggy can even move or cast his spell.

"This two?"

Ziggy fight back with his own fist.

making a fist to a fistfight. the duo started to notice that Ziggy Grew another pair of arms in his body to follow their fist.

Again with their skills. Everyone attack Ziggy.

Ziggy grew more limbs to battle the adventurers.

Changing his form into a more terrifying monster.

A creature with 16 arms, 6 wings, 8 feet, and 10 eyes.

"Hahahahaha... You can't defeat me! I'm a superior demon! You all are good fighters. But I'm damn strong."

Said Ziggy.
