Chapter 45: Prototype Ultimate demon

The prototype ultimate demon is an experimental demon created to became Zeno’s demon army. Not being completed and uncontrollable prototype demons are used to roam free in the kingdom for some testing. In multiple irregular circumstances allowed the demon to run rampant. This demon will fight instinctually until its body breaks.
This demon is a puppet of c*****e. Destroying anyone in its sight.
“I’m the strongest… Everyone is weak…”
Ren and Glenn don’t want to drag the battle and started their first move by transforming to their armor.
Like before in Steel Island Ren awaken his ability to guardian equipped. An Ability where the guardian he has will bestow him an armor that will increase his ability and strength. Glenn also has the same, but instead of guardian spirits. Glenn has a demon reside him, he also a demon contractor.
The demon he contracted with is granting him the anti-magic. His sword is not made of white metal anymore. Glenn’s grimoire is still by his side as a storage device. He uses his grimoire to store weapons swords and spells.
(White metal: a type of metal known as the anti-magic mineral. The only mineral that has the ability to negate magical properties.)
With the flaming spirit of Leo, Ren transformed with his flaming armor. A red armor with flames. Glenn transforms in his Anti-magic armor. A black armor that has properties like white metal. This Armor also boosts his physical capabilities to their maximum.
“Black s***h!”
Glenn slashes the demon with his sword. The s***h hit the demon but the demon remained unscratched.
“It’s not working?”
Ren kicks the ground and followed Glenn’s attack with his flaming sword s***h. The demon then charge toward Ren and grabbed the blade of his sword.
The strength of the prototype demon is unreal.
Ren makes his sword burst with his undying flame to burn the demon. But the demon just ate the flames like it was nothing.
I have never seen this before.
My undying flames are eaten. Undying flame can only be put-off by two things. First when I decided to cancel the ability. Second when the target has higher magical capabilities than me.
The demon then throws Ren up in the Sky with his sword. The demon blasted back the flames using his mouth.
The flame became two times more powerful and it directly exploded to Ren.
Glenn quickly runs toward the demon for close combat. He then gets his other sword switching his style to a dual sword. Glenn keeps on slashing and slashing as fast as he can. The demon continues to deflect and keep on with his attack with its claws.
“Black s***h Barrage!”
The demon flies up in the air and dodges all the black s***h thrown at him.
“Flame accelerator!”
Ren cast his magic that can increase his speed.
Flame Accelerator is magically inspired by Hanayuki’s Lightning speed. The two magic works in the same way, except for their element.
“Sword skill: Simple s***h!”
Ren uses a normal skill that has no element embedded in it. Just a skill with his pure strength.
The attack works and puts a huge cut in the body of the demon.
The demon then averted its eyes to Ren who damage him.
The demon then flies toward Ren at High speed.
“I’m jealous, come one I’m you’re opponent.”
Glenn appeared suddenly in front of the prototype demon and punch him with his fist.
The demon felt the intense power with that attack and stunned. While stun Glenn opens his grimoire and gets another weapon of his. This time it's a war hammer.
Glenn then put his back with his single swing downward. The demon was hit like a nail and buried to the ground. The powerful impact of the war hammer Glenn use makes a small pit of a crater in the area.
These past months, Glenn also trained himself and gather new weapons, magics, and new power. There is a time General Jin the red robe captain and Glenn have a showdown. The fight lasted for half a day. It’s said that if he generally didn’t get that golden opportunity. He will lose to Glenn.
“I’m the strongest… I can’t accept being defeated by someone without magic…”
Said The demon and fight back. The demon blasted water from its mouth then followed by a blizzard-like breath. The water he previously blasted froze with Glenn inside of it.
Glenn with his anti-magic ability. Negated the magic and break free.
“Anti-magic sure is powerful. In his presence, any type of magic was negated. No matter how powerful it was.”
Ren said while watching Glenn.
Glenn changes his weapon and this time a thin sword that resembles katana.
But Glenn underestimated the prototype ultimate demon.
“I’m the strongest…”
The demon stretches its hands toward Glenn. Glenn avoided its hand but the hand suddenly released sharp blades that pierce through the armor. The blades are not made of magic therefore they can’t be negated by Glenn’s Anti-magic ability.
“Glenn!”
I shouted and attack the demon by kicking it on its side.
The demon caught my feet and slam me to the ground. He then pulls his stretched arms with blades and starts using them as a whip. The sharp blades attached to its arms sliced through the ground and the trees that surround the area.
Continues swing oy the whip blade Glenn and Ren decided to put distance between them and the demon.
This demon sure is powerful. I thought I already got stronger after training these past months, but this demon power is insane. My agility that supposes to be my highest stats is nothing to compare to this demon.
Glenn put some of his weapons back on his grimoire and get another weapon.
“Anti-magic: Demon slaying sword!”
Demon slaying sword a sword that specially forges to slay demons. Its forge with a contract that the only thing this sword can cut is a demon. The considering the limitations. When this sword was used against a demon, there was a hundred percent guarantee the demon to be sliced.
“I can’t lose to this guy.”
Ren sword transformed into its evolution form.
“Flame sword of Igneel.”
Ren’s sword became a giant sword that resembles the wings of a fire dragon.
After seeing the element type of my sword the demon decided to use water magic.
“Water magic: Sea serpent strike!”
From its mouth, a sea serpent made of water appeared and tackled me. I then swing my sword, flames of my sword are extremely hot it evaporated the water sea serpent.
“I’m the strongest…”
The demon re-shaped his limbs into a sword and charge toward Ren. Ren immediately deflected the blade with his sword. Glenn appeared on its side and use his demon-slaying sword to cut its body.
The effect of the demon-slaying sword is so effective, it cuts the demon body easily. Their problem is the prototype demon regeneration magic. After cutting the demon regenerated its cut body and use its tail to attack Glenn.
Demons blade limbs became drill and then launched toward Glenn and Ren.
Ren and Glenn with their speed easily dodge the drills.
Thinking about it, it’s using regeneration magic. If Glenn got a clean hit on it with his anti-magic ability the regeneration magic will not be triggered. Then if I get an opportunity I can cut its head and burn it with my cinders with my flames.
The problem is its ability to adapt in the battle. This demon has skills in imaginative thinking and choosing weapons to use. He can also do some combo attacks using water and Ice magic.
This demon is not a moron. It has intellectual capabilities.
The prototype demon flies up in the air and swings its right hand toward us.
Its right hand suddenly spits into five whip blades. The whip blades are covered with an intense amount of energy and magic power.
The mountain near the area was a slice in five.
That’s close, if that attack hits us, we're done.
After using its right hand, it then uses its left hand in the same way.
This demon sure is dangerous, but this is not the time for that.
Ren remembered Hikari and his kiss with her. Glenn then remembers Yusael’s smiling face. With them both in love and inspired. They will fight to protect the one they love the most.
Something dangerous like this can’t be let out in this world.
“Flame accelerator!”
“Anti-magic Armament!”
Ren and Glenn then both break their limits and charge toward the demon up in the sky. Ren and Glenn both fight the demon at high-speed. Exchange of swords and blades, magic and skill.
Also, to that wonderful smile.
Hanayuki's image appeared in Ren’s mind suddenly.
Ren’s flame became more brilliant and more dangerous. The demon tried to eat it but it’s too huge to be eaten quickly.
Its body started to burn, but its regeneration magic was triggered to heal itself.
Glenn comes in and slashes it with its two swords. He uses the Demonic Anti-magic sword and demon-slaying sword.
Regeneration magic was negated and the undying flames started to burn the demon.
Pulling the last hit.
Ren appeared from the cloud of smoke and full swing his sword.
“Blazing assassination s***h!”
Slashing the prototype demon in half and burning it into charcoal.
“We win.”
Said Glenn.
“That’s right…”
Ren replied.
The prototype demon turned into ashes and disappeared.

Moving on. Rena and Glenn go back into the capital city and report the happening in their battle between the prototype demon to Justice.
“Those demons sure are dangerous, we should move as soon as possible. The dungeon is located in the mountain near the capital. Investigate the dungeon. If things go wrong, both of you can run as fast as you can. Just investigate, that dungeon is the nest of those demons.”
Justice said in a serious tone.
Ren and Glenn’s eyes fall into depression after hearing that.
“Does that means there are many of those demons?”
Asked Glenn.
Justice nodded.
Glenn was angered and slam his fist to the table.
I understand him, just beating one prototype ultimate demon nearly killed us. If there are many of them then humanity is done.

After knowing that Glenna and Ren didn’t waste any time and quickly go to the dungeon.
Just looking at the dungeon gives me a creepy feeling. The ominous aura and evil presence are flowing.
Ren and Glenn look at each other and enter the dungeon. The dungeon was so dark and gives a cold breeze. As they go further, they reach the laboratory area. In that laboratory. Giant tubes containing the prototype ultimate demon is sleeping.
All the demons in the tubes are the experimental demon that will be used in Zeno’s army in the future.
One demon pulls Ren’s interest because it looks like the demon they fought in steel Island.
“This demon looks like Ziggy.”
We also saw the same demon we fought earlier this morning.
“We can’t let these demons roam outside.”
Glenn said.
Since all the demons in the tube are not completed yet. Ren and Glenn decided to destroy them. Glenn first uses his anti-magic to negate any magic that protects the demons. Ren then burned the demons into charcoal with his undying flames.
After burning all the demons.
They heard footsteps behind them. Ren and Glenn immediately pull their guard up and make some distance.
As the light illuminated its face. They saw the princess of Arsland. The girl who appeared in the laboratory is Yusael Archangel.
Yusael was surprised after seeing Glenn.
“You're supposed to be in jail…”
“Well, many things happened.”
“Um… Looks like you both did it already. I was asked to destroy this dungeon. But the job is done, I don’t have to make my hands messy.”
Yusael then turns her back and exits the dungeon. Ren and Glenn followed Yusael and exit the dungeon.
“It’s lunchtime, I did some lunch... Want to join me?”
“Of course.”
Glenn quickly replied.
“It’s decided.”
Under the big tree, the three of us sit down in thick moss and started having a little picnic together.
Honestly, I didn’t expect things will go like this.
