Chapter 6: Hanayuki is troublesome

After we fall to the wide blue sea. Hanayuki and I go and rest on the small sand island near the city of Celest.

While we are there Hanayuki told me things about the City of Celest. Most of what she said is useless. Like the fried chicken is good and the donuts is also good. To make her feel comfy. I just behave myself and become a good listener.

The city of Celest is a artificial island and looking from outside. It's certainly looks like a battle ship.

"Of course, Sally and I came here before... Not only that this place is the home of special organization that keep the balance of the world... This is the home of the dragoons."

"Dragoons? You mean the guys with dragons?"

Hanayuki suddenly make a shocked expression and got a realization on what's happening?"

Hanayuki put her hand to her face with a depressed expression.

"If the city is in chaos? Where are the dragoons?"

Hanayuki got a point. What happened to the dragoons protecting this city?

Dragoons are powerful and fierce adventurers. Some people also called them dragon tamers.

"In the worst scenario, those dragoons must been defeated by this Pithon."

I said to Hanayuki.

"Don't say such things like that it's depressing."

"But it's the reality... Hanayuki, are you better not knowing the truth or live in the world filed with lies?"

Hanayuki turn her glance away from me and in a low tone of voice she said:

"Of course I want the truth. But I don't want to reach those negative conclusion yet. I want to see the answers with my own eye's."

Suddenly she turn serious and look in my eye's.

This little girl must got a spirit that I never have before.

"I see, someone in there must be important to you. I can feel it. Is it one of the dragoons?"

"How did you know?"

"You said your from this place. Your cheerful and friendly. I thought you got a friend in this city too... You're worried and you what to find out what's happening in there too right? Let's go inside and unfold the truth."

I said and pulled a magic card from my pocket.

Magic card an item that allow to summon various of things with in it. It can be things, food, weapon and magic. A very convenient toot for a human with lesser magic like me.

The one in my hand has broom and this broom is the broom were going to use to get inside the city.

"You got that card and not use it earlier. Are you sick?!"

Said Hanayuki as she protested.

"We suddenly fell in the water earlier and I just remember it now. This card is not used for long time."

Looking back this past month. I mostly ride train and carriage in-order to reach another town.

Using a magic broom consume magic. For me who don't have that much magic in body. Using magical items is a bad idea.

I activate the card and the card transform into the broom.

After that I put Hanayuki in from and me in the back.

"Hanayuki go and drive this magic broom."

I said in casual way.

Hanayuki is surprised and protested.

"Why me?!"

"I mean you got high magic stats than me. I saw it in your adventurer card earlier. Beside my magic stat is low. I can only use basic sound magic. If I lost my magic immediately, we're gonna be in trouble."

"Eh?! I can fight on my own. I will lightning punch them if an enemy appeared... I hate to say this but..."

"But what?"

"I never used a magic broom before."

"Eh..."

I look to Hanayuki as he scratch the back of her head.

"You're useless."

"What did you say?"

Hanayuki got frustrated and grad the broom with strength. She make her magic flow toward the magic broom. As a result we end up blasting of straight to the sky.

"What are you doing! i***t!"

The angry Hanayuki ignore my word and continue in driving the broom in recklessly.

I got fed up and toss her head.

In the end, I'm the one who drive the broom toward Celest. Hanayuki is behind me with little tears in her eye's.

This will surely such lot of my magic, but I ave no choice.

I make a big sigh and look ahead.

As I reach the City gate. This city is massive, I don't know here to enter. the city is surrounded by steel gate and some soldier is in duty to guard it.

What is happening here? Those people are serious. Maybe this is one of Pithon the red robe captain order.

I need to be extra careful.

Earlier I told Hanayuki that I would not kill that man, but that's a lie. I'm totally planning in killing that bastard once I got a chance.

I will assassinate him.

Hanayuki seems still upset on what I done to her.

"Sorry Hanayuki earlier, it's my fault. I shouldn't force you to drive."

I apologize to her with my sincere tone.

She look to my face and smile.

"Since you apologize then it's okay now... As a token, would you buy me some meal when we enter the city?"

"A meal?"

"Yeah,  fried chicken."

"That's to much for you... It will kill you if you eat to much of it."

"Ehhh? At least I died happily."

Some people are like Hanayuki... I guess...

As I drive around the city. I saw a passenger ship that enter a certain spot in the city.

"That hole."

I immediately sneak inside the hole with the big ship.

The soldier didn't notice as because we immediately hide i the back of the ship.

I restore the broom into the card. The card number of used reduce from 1 to 0. Magic card use number indicate on how many times you can use you're card.

As their that the card disappeared in form of breaking glass with luminous light.

That's a shame. This is the last broom card I have let.

"Hanayuki... We should be more careful, this ship maybe an enemy ship. We can't just go around... Hey?! Where is that brad?"

From the moment I turn my eyes away. Hanayuki is gone beside me.

That girl giving me headache all the time.

I immediately used my skill called thief steps. This skill is a sound skill that lock the sound of the user. Even the user shouts. One can hear the user. That is also applied to the things the user touch.

Combine with my excellent agility as an assassin. Can look around Hanayuki

Knowing Hanayuki, I guess she is in this place.

I open the place where I can smell the delicious fragrance. That might be the kitchen or the dinning area.

From the window I take a peak. Inside is not the kitchen. It's indeed the dining area.

looking inside I saw various fancy-looking people. This people must be royals or noble.

Inside the fancy dining room. There was ten nobles and others are soldiers guarding them.

"Look what is that thing I want that to be cooked. I wonder what is the taste of that monster."

Muttered by the big fat noble named Giova.

"The special fried chicken is not yet ready? I want that fried chicken."

Said the crimson-haired girl. That look like in the same age as Hanayuki. Her name is Mile.

"Don't be like that I'm sure the fried chicken is o the way... By the way, Lord Pithon, is ordering lot's of weapon. I wonder what we wanted to do with those."

Said by the woman wearing a red elegant dress. This woman is indeed one of the noble in Arsland. Her name Rose Scarlet.

"Don't think about that... I know what you wanted to tell us... As long as the profit is going in out pocket it's all good. We are both supplying the kingdom of Arsland weapon and the Red robe terrorist weapon. That means more money."

"That's good, If that's the case I wanted to buy new slaves. I want a small chested girl that will be clingy to me. I want a harem."

Said by one of the girl inside the dinner area.

I know some of them because of the information of the secret organization from my previous work.

I manage to eavesdrop some of juicy information about them and not to mention a high ranking noble is doing such dirty work.

Pithon the red robe captain is ordering massive amount of weapon. I guess, that means war. I need to do something. I don't want other people to suffer the same way I did.

While peaking I started to stare above the ceiling in the dinner area.

There behind the huge chandelier. I saw the i***t that I'm looking for.

"What? How that girl manages to get there fast."

The ceiling is made of steel and using her electricity she mange to magnetize her self on it.

She is got huge piece of chicken in her mouth and eating it.

If the noble's find her out she might got executed.

"That's good."

Said Hanyuki in low tone voice and she lost her control on skill an fall from the ceiling.

She fall straight to the girl who wanted a harem.

It made a commotion and soldier immediately pointed there sharp spear to the Hanayuki.

For god sake, What is happening?

Can I save her? With those soldier I can't stand I chance.

"Who is this kid and how she manage to came here?"

"She might be  spy kill her immediately."

Said Rose scarlet.

Before the soldier stabs Hanayuki with spears. The girl hugged Hanayuki and froze the soldiers foot. Making the soldiers immobile.

"What are you doing Yukihime? Yukihime?"

The girl whose name is Yukihime started to cuddle her face with Hanayuki.

"So cute, I wanted this type of girl. Those flat chest I like it."

I was a bit skeptic like those inside the dinner room because of the girl's reaction.

"I think I was in love with this little girl."

Said Yukihime.

"Let go of me your squeezing me so tightly."

Said Hanayuki as she struggle to let go from the tight hug of Yukihime.

"You tickle me. I like it... I like your expression."

I never heard this woman name before but just seeing her I know that she is a big shot. And something that I should not fight immediately.

The noble with a long red mustache walked to Yukihime and talked.

"What are you doing? She might be a spy you know... Give her to me I will execute her immediately."

Hanayuki's scared expression is written to her face after hearing that she's about to be executed.

From outside. I feel a little tight in my chest.

Is this it? Am I gonna loose someone in my eye's again? I need to do something.

I started to focus my magic in my feet and my right arm to my sword.

As an assassin, I have confidence in my agility. If a break this window and go toward Hanayuki. I might save her.

The people inside is noble with high fighting abilities. Like Rose scarlet and that Ice woman. What is happening to me. Why am so cautious about this.

If I don't hurry that guy with red mustache will execute Hanayuki.

I closed my eye's in fear.

And then I remember, the smiles of Hanayuki give to me.

"There's no going back."

Activating my sound lock the breaking of the glass in the window is never heard. My presences is also lock with my ability.

Now, I use high amount of my magic in my feet to run toward Hanayuki. As I get closer the red guy with red mustache saw my move.

"What?! Another intruder?"

"Ren!"

The guy with the red mustache pulled a sword and attacked me.

The sword is fast, as it's about to hit me.

I used my sword to deflect his sword.

"Another man that what to take my lover... Ice spike!"

Yukihime cast a spell.

Ice spikes appeared beneath me. To get away from her Ice spike. Used the hidden ability of my sword and melted the ice.

"A flaming sword?"

"A magic sword?"

Some noble is surprised to the ability my sword has.

"Hanayuki cover your ear!!"

Hanayuki followed my instruction and cover her ears immediately.

This is the only one of the sound spell that can be used in this situation.

"Hyper sonic!"

From my hand sonic waves with extremely high sound frequency is heard.

It breaks some of the glass and make some of the soldier pass out. The sonic wave also got a effect of stunning the opponent's in attack radius.

Yukihime who didn't cover her ear's was stunned in few seconds.

But that few seconds is plenty for an assassin to save a certain trouble maker.

"Take my hand."

Hanayuki reached my palm and grab it.

I pulled her and run as fast as I can.

"Wait Ren I wanted to cast some spell too."

"There's no time for that."

I yelled at Hanayuki.

The big ship is inside the city and because of that we easily go down from the ship and hide somewhere.

The noble from the ship was pissed off. Specially Yukihime.

"That brat... That sword I knew that sword... To think that I will met him in this kind of place. My soldier go and capture those brat. You can torture the man but don't hurt the girl. Also don't kill him."

As Yukihime instructed, her soldier left the ship and followed me.

Not only that, with the power of Sally(One of the noble). The soldier got a great buff in their speed and strength.

"Sally's magical blessing."

With Sally playing her violin she is able to hypnotized the target and make them powerful.

"This look's kinda fun. I wanted to do some hunting."

Said the cowboy looking man.

He gets one cigarette and lit it up.

"Dusker will also participate what a kid."

"What did you say?! When I get the agreement I will surely get your hands and marry you."

Said the cowboy(Dusker).

"Is that your proposal? I hate it, go and marry some random ugly pig outside."

"Geez... I really love that cold treatment of you. You're so tsundere...

Okay, for you I will capture those spy."

Dusker left the ship and chased me.

Going back to our situation.

I don't know what is this place, but there's no people here. It's like an abandoned town.

Where are the people where?

The soldier who can also use magic randomly destroying houses to make us out.

"Ren those soldiers is so powerful."

"Yeah, They are, Hanayuki can you run in your own. I felt tired already."

I put Hanayuki down and we hide in the dark slump in this abandoned part of the city.

"Maybe we can rest here."

I said.

Suddenly above us in the rood a guy with two pistol on his hand came.

"The spies are here."

He shot us with his gun.

the bullet is no ordinary bullet. It's magic generated bullet and before it hit us. The bullet exploded.

"That's my exploding bullets do you like it."

As the man named Dusker lowered his guard. Hanayuki immediately climb up and used her magic to knock that man out.

"Lightning punch!"

The fist of Hanayuki perfectly connect to his face.

"Nice one Hanayuki."

After that, we go and run away.

But Dusker was still awake and shot another bullet at us.

"I promise Scarlet to capture you two... You cant go away... Chasing bullet!"

Hanayuki and I go to another direction but the bullet go and chase us.

This bullet is persistent.

"Hahahahaha... That bullet will chase you to your grave."

After that, Dusker let out more of Chasing bullet to chase us.

"Hidden skill: Chasing bullet rain... Feel and eat thousand of my bullets."

I don't have enough magic anymore. If this go on those bullet will kill both of us.

Out of no where, gust of heavy wind appeared.

From that gust a giant shadow is seen.

"Sky dragon's breath."

The giant shadow is owned by a white dragon and there was a girl riding behind it. As she instructed the dragon. The dragon breath attack goes directly toward the bullets. The magic generated bullet faded.

As Dusker and the soldier came to see what's going on.

A group of people riding with their magnificent dragons appeared.

"Dragons?!... I guess we are retreating."

Dusker and the soldier  was intimidated by the dragon and left.

"What are they doing here?! The dragoons!"

Dusker and the soldier left.

The white dragon that first show up go toward us and lick Hanayuki's face.

"Agilus... It's been a long time."

Said Hanayuki and pat the head of the dragon.

Seems like Hanayuki knows this dragon.

Well, She say something about her having a friend in this City.

"Yo, it's been a while Hanayuki."

The girl riding the dragon go down.

Looking at her at first you will think she is man. Because of her pretty handsome face.

"Gila it;s been a long time."

Hanayuki jumps and hugged her tightly.

"I thought I'm going to die. Thank you Gila... Sorry, Ren for making you out of place."

Well, yeah I feel like that.

"By the way this is the organization keeping the balance in this city. This mighty people are the dragoons."

Said Hanayuki.

Thus, I meet the Dragoons. In this abandoned place of the City I wonder what's happening in inner part of the city.

I guess, I will find it out if I asked the dragoons.
