Chapter 21: Little date

The festival starts in the morning to evening that's the tradition in this town.

Just waking up in the morning from the bed you can hear the noise from outside.

I was currently in the Inn with the others because Elulu's house is destroyed last night. That does matter, as long as we are all alive and safe.

I washed my face and saw Alicia who is started to being clingy to Hanayuki.

"Hanayuki-same... What do you want?"

"Fried chicken. I want fried chicken."

Hanayuki is being herself. That makes me feel happy.

Still, I killed a person again, If Hanayuki finds out she might hate me again. I started to have anxiety after thinking that.

Someone patted my shoulder.

It's Seele and Elulu.

"What happening to your face?"

Asked Hanayuki.

"Well, the furniture. Television and the expensive cups in the cafe are all destroyed. there nothing left to us."

Said Elulu.

"That horrible... Don't worry I will give you this."

Alicia said and hand over a bracelet.

Hanayuki started to walk and check every stall.

The two of us is going to have fun together? Could this be...

Hanayuki averted her eye's toward me with a puzzled expression.

"Ren is there something wrong?"

"No, no Let's go in that direction. I heard there's a lot of amusing things over there..."

I said with a flushed face.

Then, I decided to treat Hanayuki to a cute cafe. When we're in the cute cafe Hanayuki can't stop complaining to the manager.

"What the heck is with this coffee? Three in one is better than this, just what kind of beans you're using?"

The manager is in an apologetic expression.

I thought all girls like a cute cafe but I guess Hanayuki is different from them all.

After that, Hanayuki pull me to the dinner next to the cute cafe. The dinner is quite old but the people at this dinner are crowded.

"This meat is old but it's really good... Mister! Five bowls for that pork cutlet!"

Said Hanayuki.

"Yeah coming!"

Said the cook.

She just eats in the restaurant and she's eating again. What kind of monster is inside her stomach anyway.

After eating, I saw a theater and decided to watch a movie together, but before we watch the movie Hanayuki and I started to have a little fight.

"This movie poster looks totally awesome! This is a must-watch!"

"This movie is from the bestselling novel! This is the best!"

I said while pointing toward the poster.

"I don't know, but you're tasting in the movie is quite lousy."

After several minutes of fighting. Hanayuki and I decided to watch a movie that we both don't like.

While we're watching Hanayuki fell asleep.

Looking at her closely I started to think.

Hanayuki is pretty cute, sometimes she's annoying and loud but while she's not moving and silent. I think she's really cute.

Hanayuki opens her eyes and looks to my stare.

Hanayuki's face started to blush and said:

"Ren? Are you trying to kiss me?"

"I'm not! I'm just checking on you!"

I immediately said.

The sun started to set and the blue sky earlier turns orange. Hanayuki and I go to the plaza and sit on the bench.

After sipping her strawberry drink, Hanayuki stands up and turns her gaze toward me.

"Thank you."

"Huh?!"

"Don't give me that reaction. I said thank you for today... I got a wonderful date today. I think it's kind of nice, it's totally different from my usual day and I get a lot of fun."

Hanayuki is happy to her first date and it makes me feel glad. I release a huge sigh and stand up.

I poke her cheeks and said:

Hanayuki makes a smile and pulled my sleeves.

"The date is not over yet... Look over there."

There are too many lights and stalls in that area.

"So beautiful."

Hanayuki pulled my hands toward the place.

"I knew it! Let's go and have some more fun."

Then, Hanayuki and I decided to play in every stall we saw. First, we saw a shooter staff, where you use a cork gun to get the prize.

The prize all fell and the ground and the owner is surprised by Hanayuki who used magic to get all the prize.

The owner stood up and dare Hanayuki.

"What the heck you're doing? You're ruining my business!"

Hanayuki heard the words of the owner and turn her eyes with a malicious stare.

"Huh?! What are you saying? You're cheating you're customers, that's why I cheated too. I can't let this go after all."

"You damn bitch."

"What did you say? Do you want the taste of this..."

Hanayuki released lightning sparks in her palm. The owner is terrified of Hanayuki and runs away.

After that Hanayuki and I go to the fishing stall. Hanayuki and I are not good at it but it's a lot of fun. In the end, we spent hundreds of gold until we get one goldfish.

Goldfish scooping is really hard.

The mister handed the apple candy to and I give the other one to Hanayuki.

While we are walking around. We saw a poster. Saying about the fireworks display at the festival.

"Fireworks?"

Hanayuki said with a puzzled tone.

"You didn't know fireworks?"

Hanayuki nodded.

Hanayuki really doesn't know anything in the modern world. I feel like she's from the countryside.

I held her hand s and bring her to the spot where the fireworks display will be held.

We sat down to the bench and look up in the starry sky.

"What are we doing here?"

Ask Hanayuki.

"Just wait and see what's going to happen next."

I said.

After that, a fire goes up in the sky and exploded in the appearance of a colorful flower.

The fireworks continuously blooming in the sky making the audience smile.

Hanayuki beside me is speechless to what she saw and focus her self looking at the fireworks with glimmering eyes.

"Those things are the fireworks."

"It's beautiful, it's like flowers in the sky. I remember how my mother used to bring me to this kind of event when I was little."

Hanayuki said.

That's right the fireworks are so beautiful. I wish Hikari and I were together seeing this wonderful scene.

I suddenly felt a malicious presence nearby. A familiar presence. a very familiar presence.

The man with a crimson red robe turns his face toward me. The presence miss lead me and the man I thought the one who killed Hikari turns out to be a female with golden hair. The face is too familiar I can't believe my eyes.

The people started to panic and the girl with the robe disappeared.

Then I shouted.

"Bastard! I know that you're, not Hikari! I don't know why you have her appearance but I will search for you!"

Hanayuki and I go back to the inn and have a rest. Hanayuki is looking at me with worried eyes.

"I'm sorry Hanayuki I guess I just ruined your first date."

I said with an apologetic tone

I smiled in relief.

I handed a keychain with a baby dinosaur design.

I turn my face away.

the news that we save the town was spread and a little celebration was held.

It's was so happy and fun.

Elulu and Seele told the town the decision they make. They planned in leaving the next day.

The town's people started to cry because they started to think of Them as a family.

"Don't be so gloomy! We can't let Elulu-chan and Seele-chan leave with sorrow on their face. Let's became happy for them! Whaaaaa~"
