“So, where else have you been besides Italy?” Melanie queried casually.
They'd been eating in companionable silence, each trying a bit of each other's food.
Brad shrugged.
“I went to Turkey. Amazing culture. Took a cruise on the Bosphorus.”
“It must be beautiful,” Melanie said wistfully.
“It is. You’d like it there too,” Brad affirmed.
“One day,” Melanie began happily. “I’ll let you take me there.”
Her eyes got a faraway look as she pictured herself with Brad on the coast of Amalfi, enjoying the view in each other's arms.
Brad grinned. “I’ll plan out our itinerary and let you portal us around the world.”
Melanie giggled.
“Must be nice, having your own personal free transportation in the form of an Earth Witch and her portals.”
