“St-stop!” Melanie exclaimed, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Not until you say it!” Brad responded, his fingers tickling her sides mercilessly. “O.K.!” Melanie relented with a gasp, breathing in relief when he stopped. They’d danced to a handful of other songs before leaving the gym and walking down the halls together. At one point, they’d ended up around their old lockers and then their old cafeteria. “I liked sitting with you and your stupid friends, happy now?” Melanie pouted then stuck her tongue out for good measure. “I knew you had fun sitting with us!” Brad exclaimed gleefully.
