I woke up and it’s still dark outside. I felt like I only slept a wink. So I gently lifted Amarah’s head from my lap so that I can stand up. I grabbed a pillow from the other couch and put it beneath her head. She’s still sound asleep. I don’t want to wake her up so I just went outside to hunt for food.
