Chapter Five

Attica woke up in another room. She found a book. It was a family picture book. She was confused. She thought for a second. What is going on? Where was she? How did she have a baby when she was a virgin and where is he now? The lady walked into the room. "How are you feeling this morning?" Attica looked at her confused. She remembers this woman helped her with her birth. She took Boyd from her. "Where is Boyd? What is going on?" The lady looked at Attica and stated, "You are being shown your life. What it is that you want in your life that you are missing. Boyd is fine and healthy." The lady picks up the picture book and gives it to Attica. "You need to look at this and all the answers will be answered in the book. You need to see what you are missing in your life. If you choose to change it, this is what you life will become. If you choose not to, then you choose to live a life that is lonely." 

The lady walked out of the room. Attica was still unsure of what was going to happen and what she was going to see if she opens up this book. But, she knew that she needed to see what it was that they think she was missing from her life. Attica opened up the book. It had pictures in it of her and her husband? What was this all about? Was something trying to tell her something? Her husband that she married was... Jasper. She was so happy to see him. She loved and missed him so much. She knew then that nothing had been changed. She didn't mess up anything. She turned the page and there they were with their son, Boyd. Boyd was Jasper's. How is that possible? She never even slept with him. She was still a virgin. 

Attica kept looking in the book and the more she turned the page the more she saw pictures of her, Jasper, Boyd. But, that was not all. She had pictures of two more children. A girl name Phoenix and a boy name Dolthan. She had a wonderful family. A life filled with love and children. The last page showed a picture of the three children with her father and mother. Her father got his wishes. He wanted to see his grandchildren before he passed. And he got to see them. He was smiling in the picture. He was happy. Attica understood what she was seeing. Something was trying to tell her that her father was right. He wanted her to be happy with a family that she can love. And if she choose to marry Jasper, this is what she will receive. 

The lady came in and handed Attica another book. She said, "If you look in this book this is what your life will be if you choose another path." She then turned and walked out. Attica was lost. Where was she and what was this place? Was this all in her mind? Was she drunk and drinking off the alcohol by dreaming all this. Or was this actually real and she was being showed her destination? Attica looked in this book. She was the owner of the company. Jasper was married to someone else with a family. Attica was still single and working her life away. She had achieved everything she wanted in life but no family and no love. She lost Jasper. She let him go. 

Attica's life was empty without Jasper. She may have gotten everything she wanted in life but she lost the love of her life and she did what her father did not want for her. She worked her life away and her father and mother died unhappy. Whatever this place was, they were trying to show her what she needed to see. The decision she needed to make for her life. Attica cried. She has never cried as hard as she did then. The lady walked back in. "Do you understand what is going on now? Do you see the choice that you need to make? You wanted to know what you needed to choose. You chose to go to that bar. You chose to see what you needed to do in your life. Now, you are here to see what you need to do in life and how it will go." Attica looked at her. "Yes, I understand what you are doing and what this place is but one question. Will this occur in my life if I choose one or the other or are you just showing me what could happen? Or are you showing me that this is what will happen if I choose one way or the other?" 

The lady look at Attica. " You choose your own destination. I am just showing you what could or couldn't happen. Of course we can not predict the future or the past but we can show you the way." "What about Madison? Why is she still here" The lady looked at Attica. "Madison is not where she needs to be yet. She will eventually get there but she has to see it for herself first. We can not guide her if she don't want to be guided. You on the other hand, you went and looked for Jasper. You already knew what you wanted so we just guided you to see what could happen." "Is this real or is this a dream? Am I going to wake up to a life with Boyd or am I going to wake up in the bar like nothing existed?" The lady thought about it for a second or two. "I can not tell you anything else. I have told you what you needed and that was all that I am allowed to tell you. Now, the only thing now I can tell you is to wake up Attica. Wake up."

Attica was confused. When she heard the words again. "Wake up Attica. Wake up love." This time she knew that voice. When she opened her eyes, there was Jasper. She was still in the bar. Jasper looked at her concerned. "Attica, this is not like you to just go out to a bar and drink. The bartender recognized you and called the office. I was the only one still there working and answered the call. I am so thankful that I did. I have been trying to wake you up for over an hour. What is going on with you?" Attica looked at Jasper. She was so relieved to see him that she just got up and kissed him. It was not a simple peck it was a long and deep one. One that they have never experienced before in their lives. She looked at Jasper and said, "I needed a wake up call. I love you and I have decided that I will marry you if you will still accept me. Will you accept me?"
