Chapter Six

Attica woke up to her Monday morning alarm. She was in her bed. She sat up trying to figure out how she got there and what was going on. She was really confused with everything. But, she decided to get up and go through her normal routine. When she felt something in her bed. She looked over and there was Jasper laying in her bed next to her. She was shocked. They have never slept over much less even slept together. He stirred to the sound of her alarm. He woke up and looked at her. He smiled at her. "Good morning my love."

Attica looked at him and smiled. "Good morning. Why are you in my bed? What happened?" Jasper looked at her with concern. "You obviously do not remember anything do you?" Attica shook her head no. Jasper sighed. "You were at a bar. You drank too much and passed out. They called the office and since I was there at work, I got the call. I came to you. I woke you up and you asked me to marry you. Then you passed out. I was too worried to leave you by yourself so I brought you home and put you to bed. I couldn't leave you like you were so I ended up watching you sleep and passed out next to you." Attica looked at him, "So we didn't have s*x, right?" Jasper laughed. "Who do you think I am? I would never take advantage of you. No we did not." Attica was relieved. Then she looked at him and kissed him deep. 

Jasper was shocked. He got up and went to his pants. Reach in his pocket and pulled out a ring box. Attica was shocked. "You had that already set up?" "I have had this since we were in college. I always knew that we would end up together. I always wanted to be with you, married to you, and spend the rest of my life with you. I want to have children with you. So Attica Phoenix Baker, will you be my wife and marry me?" Attica was smiling and crying. She could not believe her eyes when Jasper opened the box. It was a beautiful. It was a titanium ring with a 2 caret diamond in the middle. It had engraving inside the band that says 'Together and always.' The ring was shaped as a heart. There was little stones of ruby and emerald which was Attica's and Jasper's birthstones. Attica looked at Jasper and said, "Jasper, I love you. You are my best friend. I could not imagine my life without you in it. I will marry you and love to spend my life with you." Jasper took the ring and put it on her finger. She was looking at it and just shocked that she was actually engaged. They shared a soft but sweet kiss. It was one of the best kisses they ever shared due to it was filled with love. 

Attica looked at Jasper and the time. They were late to the gym. So, she looked at Jasper with a smile. "Well we are late to the gym so what do we do?" Jasper thought for a second. "How about we get dressed and go to breakfast. We can start by making a new tradition of having breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. What do you say? And we only do the gym maybe every other day... and maybe we can talk about our living arrangements cuz I don't want to live without you anymore. Also, we are going to need start planning a wedding. And I have a surprise for you at the office. We are to meet with you father to sign the contract." 

Attica thought about everything Jasper said. He was right. Everything was changing now so we are going to half to change our routine. Attica was both excited and nervous. She was ready for the change but also scared. Then with hearing about the meeting with her father, she was unsure of what that was going to bring. "Jasper, why don't we get ready and go to breakfast. We get to work by 730am just in time for the meeting by 8am. But, you would half to go home to get ready. Why don't we meet in about 1 hour for breakfast?" Jasper agreed. He gave Attica a kiss goodbye and went home to change and get ready. He was knocking on her door by 615am ready to take her to breakfast. 

Jasper and Attica went out to breakfast. Jasper took her to a very expensive restaurant. She had never been to it before. She whispered to Jasper, "Baby, I really do not need to be treated with this. We could of gone to a simple place." Jasper laughed. "Love, you deserve the best and that is what I am giving you. Plus we half to celebrate our engagement. And from now on you are going to be treated the best because that is what you have always deserved. Your father has treated you wrong all your life and I want to show you how you need to be treated." Attica's eyes were filling up with tears. She was blown away by him. They went into the restaurant and had a wonderful time. It was so amazing. Attica had never been treated like Jasper was treating her. He was treating her like a queen. She felt like she never would deserve to have this. It was all so new to her. 

They both ended up at the office by 730am. They were welcomed by all the staff with a big sign that said "Congratulations Attica and Jasper." Attica was shocked. How did Jasper set all this up? It was crazy but everyone was happy and excited for them. It was wonderful that the office was supporting them. Attica and Jasper talked to everyone and walked around. There was cake and balloons. It was wonderful to see how much they were loved by the office staff. Now, it was off to the meeting with her father. Attica was so nervous to know what the contract was going to be and what her father had put in it. What was she going to loose?
