The Royals

Anya POV "Do you think they were looking for Anya?" William asked. My mother nodded her head and spoke. "We believe they were looking for a Chosen one child... so yes we believe they were looking for Anya. After two months of searching, they called off the search. We believe that they found the real Chosen one they had been looking for, but we couldn't be sure, so we all decided for Anya's safety we needed to keep her hidden." "Now that the royals have announced that they will be hosting the mate ball for the entire western hemisphere. We believe that either they did find one of The Chosen but quickly realized when she came of age that she wasn't any of their sons' mates that they needed to host the mate ball to ensure they find her." "Anya, we believe that there is a chance. You are the one they have been looking for. Therefore, we need to prepare you. Just in case you are one of their mates." I was stunned. Not only did I learn about my biological parents, and that I am one of The Chosen, but I could also be the mate to one of the princes. "What if I am mated to one of the princes? What will happen then? Will they keep me locked away? Will I ever see you all again?" I asked in a panic. My mother grabbed my hands from across the table, I don't remember her sitting back down, and she said to me. "Anya we don't know what will happen if you are one of their mates. All we know is that we love you and we all want you to be happy." A smile grew on my face hearing my mother's words. Somehow, I knew no matter what the moon goddess has in store for me, in the end, I would be exactly where I'm meant to be. I would be happy. "What would you like to do now Anya? Any more questions for us?" My father asked me. I thought about what I wanted to do now with the information I now have. I decided I might as well enjoy the next couple weeks "Can we go shopping for my birthday?" Julian POV "What about this one? It matches my eyes." I said staring into the mirror back to my mother. "I don't see why you can't choose a normal black suit with a tie to match those crystal blue eyes of yours." My mother said in her almost serious tone, but I caught that smile she tried to hide. "Because I like to be different. I already have to share these stunningly good looks with three brothers. Why not just let me be myself?" I said pleadingly with my fake puppy dog eyes I knew she couldn't resist. "Okay, if it's really the one you want to wear when you meet your mate." She replied almost mockingly. "I think you mean IF I meet my mate. I don't understand why you are so adamant that she is one of our mates." I said questioning her. She looked over at one of the servants and asked him to fetch the seamstress who was awaiting outside to come and get my measurements for my tux. "I told you a mother knows." She said nonchalantly. After a few aggravating minutes that felt like hours of being told to stand certain ways and getting pricked by a needle a time or two because the seamstress couldn't stay focused on what she was doing, I was finally able to change back into my light blue button up shirt and jeans. Before I could make it out the door my mother told me to fetch whoever wanted to go next. I made my way back up to the east wing of the castle and made a bee line for mine and my brothers "man cave" as everyone calls it. It was a pretty big room with its own small kitchen. A couple couches, flatscreen television, and all the video games you could think of. It also had a small library inside of it. That's where Jason liked to keep all the books he was currently reading as well as his favorite books. The rest of us weren't big on reading but we never made fun of him for what he liked. We picked fun at him every once in a while, sure but we never took anything too far. We were brothers after all. As soon as I entered the room Jackson called out. "How hard did you have to beg for mom to agree to that baby blue suit you picked out?" "He didn't have to beg he just had to give mom those puppy dog eyes of ours and she would have said yes to him wearing a bright orange suit." Jeremy mockingly said before I even had a chance to reply. "I guess she can say yes to your blood red suit we all know you are going to choose." I threw right back at him. "Does that mean I have to go next?" Jeremy asked nonchalantly. I nodded my head laughing at him. "Alright then let's get this over with." He stood up and walked out like he was walking to his own funeral. I looked over at Jason. He was too busy reading his book to pay attention to anything that just happened. I decided to take advantage of it. Like he was reading my mind Jackson saw the opportunity as well. Jackson grabbed one of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches we had stashed in the cupboard and handed me half of it. Jason had his feet propped up on a small ottoman and was leaned back in his designated reading chair. Jackson and I sneaked up behind him and smashed each half of the pb and j on each side of his face and took off running. We knew he was going to give us the beating of a lifetime if he caught us. Not only was Jason the smartest but he was also the strongest of the four of us. We only had a couple advantages over him and that was our speed and our ability to hide. After about an hour of hanging out in the only place we knew Jason wouldn't find us. Inside of the maids' cleaning closet. We decided he had probably cooled down enough to not want to beat the life out of us. We were highly mistaken as I opened the door to leave a paint bucket spilled all over me and just barely getting a few drops on Jackson. As Jackson was laughing at me, he too stepped out of the door expecting the paint bucket to be empty. Boy was he wrong as a second paint bucket spilled all over him. Coating him from head to toe as well. We heard uncontrollable laughter coming from the end of hall. As we both looked over to see who it was. It was none other than Jason himself, but Jason's laughter didn't last long as mother and Jeremy came rounding the corner. Mother tried to be mad, but she couldn't help but start laughing along with our other two brothers. Jackson looked over at me with a big grin on his face and I knew what he was thinking. We dashed towards the three-laughter filled bodies calling out to them "Who wants a hug?" with the biggest grins on our faces.
