Chap 8: Father of the year.

***Nora's POV***

My father has an angry look on his face as he strides into my room. From his facial expression, I knew he was bringing trouble my way or he was about to cause a quarrel between us. They say fathers and daughters are supposed to be best friends, but my father and I are like fire and ice.

Yeah, we were like every father and daughter out there until a few years ago, his attitude towards me started changing. Our relationship got a lot worse three years ago when he suggested I mate and marry Mason Stanford, the second son of his best friend, Elias Stanford.

The former alpha of the blue moon pack. And since I wasn’t in agreement with his plans for my life, our father-daughter relationship went down the drain. Now we are more or less like fire and ice.

“ What am I hearing that you have brought a rogue to my home and pack?” he screamed.

Ooh boy, here we go again.

“Can we go out and talk like two civilized adults?” I said in an unusual calm tone. Since I didn’t want to wake the man who had caused chaos in the pack house, a few hours after his arrival.

My father didn’t say a word. He walked out and I followed him out. I spun around and looked at my man for the last time before closing the door.

Yes, I said it, MY MAN!!! He is mine from this day forth.

Elyssa coughed before muttering something which sounded like someone was in trouble as she stepped into the elevator.

I turned to my father with a cold stare.

” It seems you are forgetting something, father, it seems you do not recall who I am in this pack. So let me refresh your memory. I AM THE ALPHA OF THIS PACK. I AM THE OVERALL LEADER OF THIS PACK, SO THIS IS MY PACK NOT YOURS. ” I gritted my teeth. My voice wasn’t soft, neither was high.

“Then almighty Alpha, tell father dearest, why you brought a rogue to YOUR pack house”, he mumbled, taunting me. He put emphasis on your pack house.

My headache increased in double folds from all his shouts and screams.

I moan inwardly, rubbing the area between my eyebrows.

“I brought a rogue into the pack house because I want him to be here close to me and, besides, he is in my room, not yours”, I gritted my teeth. I was running out of patience with this old man. He keeps on interfering in my life as if it’s his.

“Who is that man? He is an intruder according to the rules of the pack, he needs to be captured. His place is in the dungeon” he spat.

I laughed hilariously.

“Oooh" I said sarcastically, " you mean according to the rules you set he needs to be withheld, “

“ His place is wherever I want him to be” I growled lowly, looking directly at the man I call my father.

“You keep forgetting I am the Alpha and I make the decision. I call all the shots here, not you, father, so just stop, stop trying to rule over my life and making unwanted decisions”, I muttered, warning him.

“What about your fiancé? What will he say when he gets to know about this? This will ruin the family’s reputation I built over the years” My father's outburst with so much anger.

The moment I heard of my fiancé I was filled with pure contempt and my features stiffened.

“Who is my fiancé? Who are you talking about?” I muttered with a smirk on my lips.

My father gazed at me with his eyes almost out of the socket.

“I don’t remember ever agreeing to this treaty or marriage. It was solely done between mother and you and the Stanford’s. So you can agree to marry Mason yourself after all you have a reputation to keep”, I stated with a cold smile and spun around, leaving him in the hallway.

“Nora get back here!!”

” Nora!! “

“Alpha or not, I am still your father and you will listen to me.”

” I am not done with you, get back here”. He screamed like a deranged person.

“I am done reasoning with you. If you are ready to act like my father, come find me”, I spoke, not looking back as I walked away,

“Alpha “josh’s voice popped in my head through my mind link

I groan in frustration

“ what is it this time? Can’t I be left alone for just a few minutes?” I asked in annoyance.

“I wished you could but your fiancé is here to see you”, he rumbled.

I growled into the link, “ He is not my fiancé.”

“Sorry Alpha. Mason Stanford is here to see you” Josh spoke as his voice trembled, waiting to hear my response.

“Tell him, I am out on a pack business,” I said coldly.

“I did Alpha but he says he spoke to the former Alpha a few minutes ago and he was told you are in your room. And if you don’t see him within five minutes, he will come to your room”, Josh informed.

I roared

“ How dare he!! How dare that t**t tell me what to do in my own pack?”

I was seeing red. I was madly angry. I removed my fingers from my door handle and stalked off my floor like a lethal panther. Pure hatred dripped from my body and my eyes became cold. That son of a b***h thinks I don’t know of his plans.

Hah!!

I found out his real intentions the night we were introduced to each other. On that day, he excused himself from the dining hall and walked out. My father asked me to check on him since he didn’t know his way around our pack, so I followed him out and heard him talking to a guy called Mark.

I heard him tell his friend how he wanted my power as his own. his plan was to kill other packs and take over their land. I was not surprised to hear this, a lot of Alphas have tried several times to lure me into their wicked plot, but I escaped them all.

Every time, I see through all their acts and lies. I even heard Mason’s plot against his own elder brother and I warned at once.

I will never let him get what he wants.

“ You need to take care of that cow before he becomes dangerous and a nuisance in our lives” my wolf snarled.

“He is already a nuisance. I will never let him come close to mcdreamy” I snarled.

“then deal with him as fast as possible. Now that I have found my love I don’t want any unnecessary interference” my wolf rumbled in my mind.

“Certainly lady boss” I teased, grinning.

She scoffed, going back to her sanctuary.
