Chap 9: Power Seeking Bastard

*** Nora's POV***
I opened the door to my office violently, producing a booming sound. I walked into the office with a dark expression on my face.
“Do you have a death wish?” I asked in a cold tone. And crossed my arm across my chest.
The cow smirked, staring at me. The smirk on his face was not even attractive, he looked like an old fool.
“I finally have your attention, ” he said, sounding cocky as a victory smile slowly appeared on his pale lips.
His dull, unattractive black eyes flicker at my body slowly, undressing me with his eyes.
Lust blanketed his eyes and that stupid smirk did not leave his lips. I felt so dirty under his stare and I wanted to run quickly to the bathroom, and scrub my body.
I glared at him in disgust before speaking.
“What the f**k is your worthless ass doing in my seat” I queried, glaring dangerously at the bastard in my office chair. That good for nothing! Had the audacity to sit in my chair.
I growled.
My anger was increasing with every second.
“Do you have no respect for your leaders?” I asked.
“Respect?? Did you say respect? “ his eyes sparkled with humor ” I am your fiancé. There is nothing like respect between us. I am basically your equal”, Mason replied in amusement.
He was busy toying with my pen in his hand, twirling it round and round in a simultaneous loop. I wanted to strangle the life out of him. I hate him so much with passion. I have never hated anyone as raw as I do him.
“Get up now” I roared, but he just laughed as I was playing around with him.
All my calmness vanished and my body was in a rage. I latched forward with the deadliest glint in my eyes. His laughter halted and fear gleamed in his eyes as I approached him like a flash.
“ wh..what are you doing?” he stammered.
I yanked his hair hard, forcing his head back and moving him out of my seat. I tightened my hand around his short black hair.
He winced in pain.
I gripped his neck firmly with my other hand so that I could feel my nails sinking into his skin.
He yelped in pain and started thrashing against me. I looked down at the pathetic man who wanted to crawl his way into my life with an evil smirk on my face.
“Are you scared now?” I inquired as my lips twitched in a sneer.
Mason smirked arrogantly even though his eyes were saying otherwise.
“ Never”, he responded in a strained voice.
I laughed, menaced, throwing my head back.
“Really??” I muttered coldly and tightened my grip on his neck, squeezing
“AAAHHH….” He moans in pain like a pregnant fish.
“This should be the first and last time you come into my office and sit in my chair with your arrogant ass. Do I make myself clear?“ I roared, looking dead in his eyes.
Mason quickly nodded in terror. “ Yes, yes” he mumbled in a labored voice.
I tightened my hand, cutting off his airway. His eyes turned red and became watery.
“ You will address me as……” I asked, reducing the firmness of my hold.
“ Yes Alpha… Yes Alpha,” he quickly mumbled like a good boy.
“ Better” I uttered
I twisted my hand a little before releasing my hold on him and pushing his masculine figure backward.
He was panting and wheezing like a laboring woman. Tears were streaking down from his red eyes. He was rubbing his neck and coughing loudly.
My mouth curved into a savage smile with loathing. I was so pleased he was in pain.
“ What the f**k is your problem? You almost killed me" he rumbled, wiping his face.
I smirked
“ You should have just killed this Arse” Nelly’s voice popped into my head snarling.
“ Nelly, you know the rules of the kingdom. I can’t kill another Alpha’s son. I don’t want to start a war”, I said.
“Yeah, you’re absolutely right” she murmured in a displeased voice, going back into my mind.
"How can you do this to your fiancé?” Mason’s irritating voice drew my attention.
I erupted into a fit of laughter. He frowned, looking at me weirdly.
I sneered in disgust at the words which had just left his lips before replying.
“You can never be my fiancé”
“What!!” he mumbled in confusion.
“ Do I look like your betrothed?” I asked amusingly with my hand on my hip.
“ Huh!!” His face deepens with confusion. "Alpha stopped playing games with me."
I chuckled "Games??"
“ you don’t qualify to be my side chick, how much more my mate.” I chuckled at my own statement “ I never said I would marry someone like you. I hate you, I hate your very existence. I f*****g hate your presence”, I shouted in anger.
He gasped, surprised at my phrase.
“But your father informed me this morning, you have finally settled on a date for our wedding after my long wait” he whispered.
“ Oh oh oh” I laughed softly in disbelief “ really now??”
I chuckled “ then I think you’re getting married to my dad, so just go back to your pack and prepare for your wedding, ” I said in a flat tone.
And allowed my inner smile to shine on my face.
“ What are you saying, Nora? I have waited for you for three years and you’re now backing out” he yelled in anger.
I growled loudly, inducing a shiver from him.
“Know your place kid!! It is Alpha to you and you will show me some respect. I never agreed to this madness. I never gave you any false hope. You were the one throwing yourself at me and chasing me like a dog just to have my power as your own. “I screeched.
“But you were promised to me. I am to be the Alpha of this pack and you are meant to be my Luna.” He uttered
I laughed sarcastically.
“Am I a thing to be given out as a gift? I have always known you were eying my position.” I glared at the twat
“Nora, please reconsider, together we can be the power couple and the strongest pack in the world. We can do great things together. We both have Alpha blood running through our veins. Our kids will do miracles, please” he pleaded, coming close to me.
“ Don’t you dare come any closer. If you do, you will be going home with broken bones”, I threatened, halting him in his steps.
“Is it about you not being in love with me? I can make you fall for me when we get married please”, the clown rumbled, pleading.
My wolf giggled “This guy is a joke, thinking he could trap us. He is a fool for even considering that. Hurry up and get rid of this guy, our man is waiting in our bed.”
I chuckled
“If you have nothing else to say, leave” my cold expression was back on.
“Alpha Nora. Think about it again because this wedding will come up in two months as planned, whether you like it or not”, he stated in rage.
“Like hell it will!! Get out now and never return. Get out now before I kill you with my bare hands”, I growled dangerously.
He jumped at the sound of my voice and mumbled “ I am already on my way out” before rushing out of my office.
How can that swine threaten me?
All this is happening because of my dad; he is the cause of this. I know he still wants a man as the alpha of the pack. That is the main reason why he keeps on forcing his best friend’s son on me. He still doesn’t appreciate all the effort I have put into this pack to make the pack better and known to all.
I clenched my jaw firmly pacing in my office. I wanted to hurt someone, no no I wanted to kill him. I was inhaling and exhaling sharply.
“Calm down girl, let's go back to your McDreamy before he wakes up. We have everything under control so there is nothing to burst your head about.” my wolf stated.
I heave a sigh and massage my forehead. I walked out of the office thinking about the man lying in my bed.
“Nelly, how are we going to get him to stay,” I wanted to know, because I strongly believe that if he wakes up. He will want to leave.
“convince him?” she stated in a question form.
“How?” I asked and added ”You know from the marks on his body and our dream he was being abused, so we can’t come out too strong. He will run away from us.”
My wolf growled at the thought of him running from us.
“ Then let’s seduce them with our charm and dominance” Nelly suggested.
“ Whatttt!!!!!” I asked, laughing at her suggestion, shaking my head.” Horny wolf?”
“ I am serious, Nora, I have connected with his wolf and I started hitting it off with him. His name is Ryker, he is a charmer. I am sure you will fall in love with him as I do with his sweet talk. I’m sure when you have McDreamy's body underneath, you will thank me later for my brilliant idea”, Nelly declared.
I blushed at her remarks.
“Seriously you were able to contact his wolf?” I queried in surprise, since it was unnatural to mind link with someone who is not your mate, family or pack. This confirms that he is our mate.
“ I am damn serious. I told you they belong to us and our connection with them is stronger than anything I have ever felt.” Nelly confirmed.
“ I know I can feel it too. They are ours and I am not going to let them go. I will find a way for them to stay”, I announced.
“ Good” she muttered in agreement.
I opened my bedroom door and entered. I was more determined than ever.
