I lay in the warmth of Avery's arm and images of last night fills my head. Every position, touch moan and groan hit me like an eighteen-wheeler. Don't make this awkward Ave. His arm pulls me back towards him as I try to escape from the bed. I look over at him and his eyes are shut. I try once more, and he slowly opens one eye.
"Morning."
"Let me go, I have to pee." He loosens his grip and I get out the bed to only collapse on the floor with a loud thud. "Avery what did you do!?" I hiss and I can hear his laughter. Oh, he is really laughing.
"I should have told you the side effects of getting f****d by me would cause." He is off the bed helping me up. "Let me help you to the bathroom."
He sits me on the toilet before heading back to the bedroom. I've never had a guy screw me to the point of not being able to walk. I massage my legs as I sit on the toilet hoping this will help me. I stand to up to wash my hands and I feel, how Bambi looked when she was learning how to walk. I call out for Avery knowing I can't make it back to the bedroom without causing myself more pain.
He smiles as he scoops my naked body into his arm. "Sorry." he says sheepishly, and I instantly start blushing. "I didn't think about the morning after. Do you have any plans today?" he asks laying back on the bed.
"No." I pull the blanket over my naked body.
"You don't have to hide your body from me. I've seen it all." He says getting underneath the blanket as well, pulling me towards him. He kisses my neck and I moan. Did I want to do this again, I'm already in enough pain.
"Avery, we can't." I push him back.
"I knew it." he throws the blanket off of him and stands up looking for his boxers. "I knew once morning came judgmental, I'm too good for you Avery would come back." he says nonchalant, but his words are like a slap to the face.
"Is that really how you see me?" What bothers me the most is that this isn't the first time a guy called me judgmental for no reason. For crying out loud I just didn't want to have s*x right now.
"I've known you for two days and let me, let you in on a little secret...Drunk Avery is far better. At least she doesn't pretend to be someone she's not."
"This is who I am Avery!" I sit up.
"So, who were you last night? Who were you when you sobered up and still begging for me to go deeper? Who the hell were you?" He pulls up his boxers, turning around looking at me.
"Me!" I shout.
"So, who the hell are you now?"
"I'm still me."
He scoffs. "If you are going to get drunk again and act the way you did last night and then act this way in the morning stay the hell away from me."
"Because I'm a little more guarded in the morning, I'm different? Everyone is different once sober."
"Yet you were sober. So, is nighttime sober Avery different from morning time sober Avery?" He puts on his pants now in closet looking for a shirt. "Don't answer that." he comes back out the closet fully clothed now.
"So, you’re running away? How grown-up of you." I hiss laying back on the bed. Avery is hovering over me in a blink of an eye. My eyes widen, what is his problem?
"Like I said last night, I'm not going to stop until I fully satisfied you and the way you are carrying on, I can see that I haven't accomplished that goal. If you must know I'm going to the store to get you some Epsom salt and some groceries." he places his lips on mine. "I'm going to take real good care of your body today and by tonight I will devour you all over again." he gets off the body and leaves out the house.
Sweet baby mochi, here he goes again. I turn on my side, getting comfortable and my cell phone rings, and that ringtone lets me know it's Vicky. Coming from the living room. Uh-oh. I grab my laptop off the nightstand and go to my FaceTime. I look at myself on the screen and cringe. My hair is a mess and I'm naked. I scan the room and the only thing close enough in arm distance is Avery's shirt he wore last night. I pick it up, frowning. Just remembering what he used this shirt for has me second guessing everything. I see the stains and groan out loud. Without a second thought I put it on and dive back underneath the blanket.
I click on Vicky's name. The laptop rings for a second or three before Vicky face takes over the screen.
"Well, you look like shit." she says sitting up on her bed.
"Thanks for reminding me." I roll my eyes.
"Is he there?"
I turn around the laptop to show her the room. "Nope."
"Did he come home last night?"
"No." I lie. It shouldn't have, but this is something I want to keep a secret for a while. Vicky is an amazing best friend, but she can be a bit much for me at times.
"Really?" she's surprise.
"Yup or he could be on the couch. I'm not sure I haven't left the bedroom yet."
"Thank the Heavens you didn't sleep with him. Do you know how much you would regret it? Especially since he hooks up with random chicks all the time. you would just hate yourself. I heard India caused a scene last night at MDA2. Caught Avery all over pouty lips."
"Mhmm." I forgot all about the girl from MDA2 and India. He must have a list of women ready to throw their bodies at him. Just like I did last night.
"Are you okay Ave?"
"Yeah, I just have this massive headache."
"Are you sure that's all?"
"What else could it be Vicky?"
"I don't know--did you drunk dial Chris last night?"
I flinch at the sound of his name and Vicky knows better to not bring him up.
"No, I didn’t, and I have to go."
"Hey hey Ave. It's been a year I think we should be able to say his name and you do not get all upset about it."
"Of course, you would feel that way. You weren't the one getting cheated on for half of the relationship. So, I don't care if it’s been a decade, I don't want to talk about him and if you can't respect that then f**k off."
She raises her hand in a surrendering gesture. "Babe, I'm sorry. I just thought—never mind I crossed the line. I will never talk about he-who-shall-not-be-named anymore. Forgive me?"
I exhale and smile at her. "All forgiven." Sort of.
We talk a little longer about our classes tomorrow and then Vicky suddenly reminds me about going to the complex's office tomorrow. I hesitate to answer her, and she raises her eyebrows at me. I look to the empty condom wrappers on the floor and those vivid images fill my mind once again.
"I think I should see how this whole living situation goes first. Like you said he has so many girls, he probably won't stay here most nights anyway." I shrug.
"That is true. As long as you don't show you’re interested in him, he will look for a quick f**k elsewhere." she gets off her bed and I can see her roommate in the background.
"Who's that?" I mouth.
"Her name is Stephanie," she whispers.
I nod my head. I can hear my front door open and I look back at the laptop. "Well, I'm going to call you back later. I need to get some sleep. This headache is killing me."
"Do you want me to stop by? Bring you something to eat?"
"Uh, no, I'm fine."
Avery stands in the doorway staring at me.
"I can make you a mean Bloody Mary. You know I can cure any hangover."
"It's okay Vicky, I can just sleep it off and I know I have something around here that can help ease the rest of the pain away once I wake up." Lying to my best friend shouldn't be this easy for me.
"Well alright, but if that asshole comes home bothering you, call me and I will handle him myself." my eyes widen, and a smile takes over his face.
"Thanks Vicky. Later."
"Later babes."
I close the laptop, placing it back on the nightstand.
"You know if you wanted to be covered in my c*m again, all you have to do is ask."
s**t the shirt. "It was the only thing close to me at the moment. I didn't want to flash my best friend."
"Or you didn't want her to know you got laid last night."
"That too." I pull the shirt off tossing it at him. "I would love to walk today, so can you run that bath water."
"Before I do, quick question."
"Hmm?"
"Should we actually consider doing this?"
"What is this you speak of?"
"f*****g one another on a daily basis. At night, in between classes, when we wake up..."
I blush, biting down on my bottom lip. "I can't give you an answer right now." I don't even know if I really want to live with him.
"No strings attached of course." he adds on.
"Can you just run my bath water please." I look away from him. I hear the bath water running and I groan. How can I give him an answer knowing he will be screwing India and any other girl along with me? He can easily say no strings attached because he has been doing it for—hell I don't know how long. I know for a fact I will catch feelings. We would be living together and adding s*x into it will only cause me to blur the lines.
I would be stupid to say I won't fall for him in the long run if this continues.
