Our Love

Chapter 4

Nicole's POV

After I confessed to Ace about my secrets, I kind of feel relieved because he doesn't judge me for my family. Most people I have met kind of walk away from me after they knew the truth because they said I am too broken and messed up to be friend with them. Few people said I deserve that and to be honest, at first; I cried myself to sleep at night but after two years receiving the same treatment every day, I don't get bother by that anymore.

Even when I went to buy groceries, some people thought I want to buy beer to drink. I'm not that stupid to make myself like my parents and I hope people look at me because of my true self. Don't judge me because of my parents. But unfortunately, people talked, and they make it worse.

I really have a comfortable sleep yesterday, so I woke up early. I look at the clock on table beside my king bed. 6am. Cool.

I went to take a shower and wear professional attire since I need to make myself presentable. So, I wear red blouse with a white flower necklace around the collar till it reach the second button which make my blouse look it has a flower design and I wear a black skirt with it.

I don't want to compliment myself, but I have to. I look rich and pretty. Yay! Then, I wore a minimal amount of make-up, make it look natural and I put on a red lipstick. Daring! I grab my black high heels and went to kitchen because I'm hungry and I need breakfast.

The easy thing to do for about 10 minutes is a toast. So, I make two plates of toast and two cups of coffee. I finally knew how to use the coffee maker after he teach me the other day. I took a seat in one of the chairs waiting for Ace to come out.

"Hey, you are early." I look to my right side and saw Ace. He looks really nice with his black suit and he even wore a black button up shirt and black tie. He looks dangerous.

"Morning. You look nice." He raised his eyebrow. Probably he doesn't believe that I compliment him.

"Thanks for the compliment and you look sexy." He end his comment with a flirty wink.

"I know. You don't have to tell me." I said, earning a low chuckled from him. I push the plate towards him and make him eat. We eat quickly since it is almost 7am.

"Ready to go?" He asked, so I nodded. He then makes his way to pick out car key because he had about three cars for God knows what reason, and he drive them according to his mood. I put on my high heels and follow him to the elevator.

We make our way to his car and I saw he went to his Range Rover Evoque. It is in red colour and totally my kind of ride.

"Nice ride again." He smiles widely. Guys and car are forever buddies.

He turned on the engine and soon we are on our way to his office. After about 20 minutes with traffic jammed, we reach his building. What a tall building. I have never imagined he is this rich.

He parked his car in front of the main entrance and came to my side. He opened my door and hold my hand. I followed him and he tossed his keys to his valet.

"You know you can give it properly to him." He looked at me, "He's my worker."

"He is human. You should treat human nicely if they do the same to you. Next time, you better give your key to him properly. Got it?" He nodded and slightly pouted.

We enter the building and soon all heads are looking at us. They even whisper probably asking who I am, so I look at them and smile widely. They look shocked? Some of them smile back to me but some of them glare at me. It must be because I stole this guy from them. I love this.

He pulled me to his private elevator and push the button. "Your office at 50?"

"Yeah. You can see the entire city from my office."

"It can be dangerous." He looked at me. "Why?"

"Well, let’s see if there's emergency you can't use elevator and if you use stair you will take time to reach downstairs. So, are you going to jump?"

He looked at me with an amusement look on his face before he laughed loudly at me. What? "My building is secure. Don't worry." I rolled my eyes.

After about 5 minutes in the elevator, we finally reach the floor. "I suggest you put some tv in the elevator so you can enjoy when you ride it."

"Nicole, only you will make such comment." He pinched my cheeks. That hurts.

It is the same thing that happen on lobby. People keep staring at us, but I still manage to keep my head held high. You're not scaring me.

I enter his office and his office is painted with brown colour and he has this large desk near the window, he also has one set of sofa in dark colour brown. This office looks sophisticated like him. I went straight to the window and like he said I can see the entire city.

"Your office have a nice view." He took a seat on his chair and pulled me to sit on his lap. Soon both of us is looking at the city and the moment he wrapped his arms around my waist, I want to kick him, but I don't know why I feel this tingling feeling on my stomach. My heart is jumping and its really bothering me.

"Hey man. I hear gossip!" He turned around and I saw a man in his suit and looking all handsome.

"I guess it is true then." He whistles, "Who are you my lady?" He asked me with this weird accent, I think he tried to make a British accent.

"You failed in making that British accent." I stand up. "My name is Nicole, who are you, handsome man?"

He takes my right hand and kiss them. "My name is Alex." I hear someone clear his throat.

"Don't do that. My boyfriend is jealous.” I pulled my hand and look at him, “Luckily your name is not Ferrari or Ducati." Alex and Ace laugh loudly at my comments.

I tried to muffle my laugh but failed. "I think I'm starting to like you my lady."

"What do you want Alex?" Ace butt in. I guess he's bored looking at us both. Ace then pulled me again and I sit at his laps again.

"Well, the moment I enter the building I heard about how the cold man Benz Ace is holding hand with an unknown girl. That's why I came to your office."

"My girlfriend. We have been together for a month." Ace explained to him.

"You didn't tell me. I thought you are with Lara the Italian model?" So, he has a scandal.

"She is too whiny and clingy." I look between Ace and Alex back and forth.

"Do you think it is possible to mention about your last hooked up with me sitting on your laps?" I look at Ace. He froze instantly while Alex chuckled.

"I'm sorry baby. She's nothing." Alex look at us and giggle.

"This is the first time Benz looks scared with girl."

"I'm glad I amused you buddy." Ace said while he rolled his eyes making Alex laugh and stand up. "I guess I should leave you lovebirds and go to my office." I nodded. I think you should go to if not you'll tell me all of Ace's hooked up.

Why am I being so jealous? I have never felt like this before. I don't like the thoughts of Ace wrap his arm around other girl’s waist. I'm jealous right? No, totally not.

"Hey, want to have lunch together later?" I blurt out.

"Sure, see you guys later."

I then unwrapped Ace's arms and went to sit and his sofa. "Why?" He pouted

"You should do your work." He nodded and call for his secretary. After that, this brunette girl enters wearing a tight blouse with few buttons undone. If she bends, Ace can see her boobs.

"Yes Sir." Wow, she's batting her eyelashes. "What is my schedule?"

"You have meeting at 10 o'clock with Mr James then another meeting at 3pm with Mr Blake. That's all. And this is the few documents you need to approve for the upcoming hotel's ceremony." She handed about two files to Ace.

Ace nodded. "Do you want anything to drink baby?" I nodded. "Fresh orange."

"Get that for my girl. You can go out, if I need anything, I'll inform you." She nodded and make her way out while swaying his hips.

"She's flirting with you." I blurt out. "But she's good."

I rolled my eyes. You must love that. I hate this thing because I am feeling possessive. I hear another knock and the girl bring my fresh orange and put it on table in front of me.

"Hey! Wait." I called her when she's about to turn.

"Yes madam." I chuckled. "You can call me Nic. What is your name?" I give her my fake smile.

"Jennifer." She answered warily. I can feel Ace is staring at us. "It is unprofessional to unbutton your blouse." I went to her and help her button up. "I don't want any client to notice this and thinking my fiancée is flirting with you."

She nodded and she looks scared. "That's all." I give her my wide-but-remember-my-advice-if-not-I-hunt-you-down smile. She nodded and make her way out.

"You're so evil. Even I was scared looking at the scene."

I laugh. "That should be a reminder to you. A devil was once an angel. I can be an evil and angel as I want."

He looks taken aback. Don't play with me. He didn't make any more comment and soon he continue doing his works while I make tour around his office. I notice two doors and so I opened it, to my surprised it is a toilet and one more a room with single bed with a few clothes hanging.

"Why you have room in here?" He looked at me. "When I think I need a nap, I sleep there. Sometimes I have to go for outstation straight from office, so I just grab the clothes." I nodded. He must be busy.

Then, I sit down opposite him and look at all the work he had to do. I open some files and read it. I can barely understand.

"Do you understand?" He asked me. "Of course not. I'm just staring."

"You're so weird." He then stood up. "I need to go for a meeting, can you survive about hour or two without me?"

I tap my chin, "Does Alex go to meeting with you?" He shook his head. "Mind bringing me to his room? I can talk with him."

He asked me to follow and it turns out Alex office is down other side of hall. I knock on his door and I pushed Ace to go for his meeting. He walked away after he kissed my forehead making me stunned for a minute with flutter heart. I regain my composure back.

"What are you doing?" Alex asked me. I smile and walk into his room and took a sit opposite of him.

"I'm bored and Ace has a meeting now. I just want to talk to you."

"Great. So, let me save my work and we can talk." I look around his office. His office is a little bit smaller then Ace.

"Done. So how old are you? You look young."

I smile. "20 years old."

"Benz really love young woman." I raised my eyebrow. "Kidding girl."

I shrugged it off. "So, how long you have known him?"

"Since high school. We are in football team. He's always the popular one. You know being handsome and rich but he's a good friend." I nodded.

"But I'm quite shocked that you can tamed him."

"What?"

"Well, his previous scandal or hooked up can't make him do anything. It is always them following him but not you. I guess he really like you."

Without knowing, I smile widely. I don't know why but I am happy when he told me that.

We continue talking and he told me a lot about Ace embarrassing moment during school till college. I totally can use that during our argument later. I then knew Alex and Ace is like brother, they're just not friend. Our talking is being cut off with his office's phone ringing.

"Send me back my girlfriend." Both of us chuckled. Alex want to escort me like he said but I don't want to.

"Nice talking to you, friend." I said to him.

"Me too. If he hurts you, tell me. I'll kick him."

I laugh. "I will."

I walk to Ace room with a smile because somehow, Alex accept me and I feel like I already knew Ace from Alex's story. I even feel something which I can't seem to figure out yet.
