Chapter 6

Ace's POV

I really adore her because I have never seen someone so strong like she is. The fact that she is so strong but still I don't know how she is able to smile and tease me when she had her own problem that is even bigger than me. When she told me what exactly make her ran away from home, all I think all night is I want to protect her.

But when she showed her jealousy or possessiveness, I don't mind. I like it actually. She's not whiny or clingy, she knows how to handle people. Even though, it just only one day but she already able to tame me. If she can handle me then I am sure she can handle other people.

People use to tell me that I should smile more because I always show them my serious face but now that I have her, I keep wanting to smile so that she can smile back to me. I don't even want to see her crying or frowning and that's why I love to tease her, I don't even know that part of me exist.

When she met Alex, I knew she is the right one. Alex even sent me a text that he approved her because to be honest, he always rejected my choice, and this is the first time that he approved my partner.

The moment she fires back Lia until that whiny clingy girl stormed off, I am already sure she can be my great partner. To be someone that has money and power, people tend to use you and I was scared that she couldn’t handle these people, but she proves me wrong.

After we went back, we have our movie night and she even told me that at least she wants to have a movie night with me about two or three times a week. Turns out, she left me all alone after half hour after we start our movie night because she fell asleep.

She slept on my lap and I can see her true feature. She really looks like an angel when she sleeps, she looks vulnerable and the way her mouth opened a bit, I get struck down by this girl. I just know her for two day, but she managed to crawl to my heart.

I picked her up and lay her down on my bed, I decided to slid to her into her bed today and when I did, she snuggles closer to me. I can listen to her deep breathing and her heartbeat. I fall asleep listening to that.

Now this morning, watching her still wrap her arms around me and her legs tangle with mine I can't help but to smile widely.

I always wake up at 6am and went for jogging but I guess I can skip that today. I brush her hair so that I can see her face clearly. She's so pretty.

"You wake up already?" I look down and saw she's looking up to me. "Yeah."

She unwraps her arm and untangle the legs. "What am I doing here?" She asked me, looking so confuse.

"You fall asleep and this is the nearest bedroom because well, you are so heavy." I teased her. Actually, I want her to sleep with me because I want to hold her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes. I pulled her again and hug her.

"What are you doing? Let me go." She tried to escape but I hold her tightly.

"This is my favourite position. I want to cuddle with you."

"That's why you should buy a big teddy so you can cuddle with it." She teased me. I tickle her a bit making her laugh loudly. How can she look so pretty when she laughed?

She stopped trying to escape and hug me tightly too. "Let's have a date today." She looks up and pouting.

"Okay." I smile widely.

After one hour of cuddling, I manage to let her go and watch her went back to her room. I take a shower and wear a black t-shirt and jeans. I went to her room and she haven't done yet. I found a paper and pen.

Let's meet later on. Wait for it okay? Your Ace.

I went back and make some call to arrange for my date. I hope this will turn out great.

Nicole's POV

After I am done with my bath, I went straight to my closet, but I notice some note on the bed, so I walk towards my bed to take the note. I can’t help but to smile when I finish read that. Can't wait. I put on a shirt and sweatpants and when I am done, I went to kitchen and reheat the leftover pizza. I don't know what to cook plus its only me at home.

I decided to watch a movie while waiting for Ace. I don’t know how long the time has passed, so I look at the clock and notice its already 3pm. Wow, time sure flew by really quickly. By this time, I almost into the second movie already. The only movie in the house is action, thriller and horror. Luckily, I'm a fan of those genre too but I still need to force him to buy a chick-flick too.

I was about to choose another movie when the doorbell ring. So, I went to open the door and notice one man wearing a suit while he shoves me two boxes. I smile at him before I took the box and when I did, he just walked away without saying anything. What the hell?

I bring the boxes to my room and opened, I instantly saw a gold colour dress with a beautiful neckline design made with some diamond. So beautiful. I opened another box and notice a set of earing, and a bracelet to pair with the dress. I notice a card below it.

Wear this tonight and get ready at 6pm. Can't wait to meet you. Your Ace

I smile widely and jumping all around the room. I look at the time and its almost 4pm, I almost freak out but decided to stop that and take a shower. After shower, I make my make-up first. I make it look natural yet sophisticated. For eye, I make a natural smokey eye and end it with soft pink lipstick. Then, I curled my brown hair.

I look at the time and its already 5.15. So, I wear the dress and find suitable high heels for me to pair it with the dress. I choose a white gold 5 inch heels.

Just as I make my way to living room, the door bell ring, I decided to pick my clutch and open the door. I thought it is Ace but turn out to be Alex.

"Are you ready my lady?" He asked me while taking my hand, I nodded at his question. Soon we make our way to car. I am so nervous because I don't know where is Ace right now and what is he planning.

"Where are we going actually?" Alex shook his head and laugh. "So, you're not going to tell me?" I said when he didn’t give me any answer.

"You got it right." After 30 minutes, we finally reach the place, but it looks deserted. Alex came behind me. "I need to put this around you." He showed me the clothes for me to cover my eyes and I nodded.

He then holds my hand and ask me to follow him. Then he just stopped and ask me to wait there but he doesn't say anything.

"Where are you Alex? I'm freaking out." I shouted because it is the truth. Imagine you don't know where you are, and somebody just leave you at night.

"I'm here." His husky voice. Ace! He took off the clothes and I saw him looking so good in his black suit.

"You're so pretty more than I imagine." He smiles and pulled something out from behind. He gives me a bouquet of red rose and by looking for it, I think it is 100 roses. He then holds my waist and bring me to the table.

I look around and notice we are at a garden with a fountain near our table. "Where is this?" He smiles at me.

"My house. I buy it a few years ago." I nodded. It is so beautiful. "I love it."

Then some waiter brings us our food, I almost drool but thank God I cover it up fast. It is steak with mashed potato and to be honest it looks good. We then started to eat and while we were eating, one man came out with a violin in his hand and he started to play a romantic song.

I smile widely at that, when we finish eating Ace stood up so suddenly. He walks towards me and kneel down in front of me. My heart is pounding is so hard that I think it will break and burst. He takes my left hand and kiss slowly before he pulled out one box and opened it. I saw a ring with infinity symbol and small diamond along the symbol.

"I know we didn't figure out each other yet but I think my heart knows the best so will you marry me?" He asked. I can feel I'm on verge of crying.

"Yes, I do.” He slid the ring into my finger." He then pulled me to stand up. "Let's dance."

We dance slowly and he keep looking at me. The stare and gaze that he gave me makes me feel better and I know that I can live with this person. I decided to look back at him and somehow, he took that as a chance to lean in and give me a peck on my lips.

It makes my heart flutter.

"Thank you for doing this." I said and he nodded.

I am that glad he makes it this real though I know all this are only a deal but still this makes me happy.
