The Gangleaders

Chance's POV:

I slowly opened my eyes and yawned. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:30am.

Why did I wake up this early?

I wasn't sleepy anymore so I decided to stand up. I looked to my other side and saw Ace still asleep. I slowly removed his arm from my waist and went to the balcony.

The weather was chilly but it is usual for this time of the year. Sun was just rising and it felt like city was getting ready for another day too.

I stood there looking at the windows which were shining due to sunlight. Some shops were opening some of them already had clients inside.

All of these things are happening daily in the same routine over and over again.

It is easy to get bored of it. That's why I joined gang in the first place. To escape doing same tasks for the rest of my life.

I wanted my every day to be different from previous one. I wanted each of them to have unique things that will make them all memorable.

So, when Blaine was arrested, I took the position of gangleader. To make my everyday better than the previous one.

Maybe by doing so I hoped to erase the bad days from my memory.

I was drawn out of my thoughts when I felt arms wrap around me. I smiled and looked at Ace who was leaning on me.

"Good morning" he said sleepily “It really is a good morning isn't it?" I said and kissed him on the cheek.

"Let’s go inside it is cold in here" Ace said and dragged me inside with him.

We lied in the bed for a while because it was still too early. It was silent the whole time. Comfortable silence.

When you stay silent not because it is awkward or uncomfortable to speak you just stay silent because you are too busy enjoying the situation you are in.

You don't speak because you don't feel the need to explain yourself to someone. Because this someone has already understood you.

Soon we got up and went downstairs to make breakfast for everyone. "Morning guys and bye at the same time" Max said as he passed the kitchen and saw us there.

He went to the door and was putting on his coat. "Going out for the breakfast with my boyfriend" he said as he exited the house.

Tony and him have been dating for a while now. They look really sweet together and I hope they stay like that.

After our walk on the park we meet few more times and went to movie together.

In this few weeks we hadn't done anything really serious in the gang. Just few deals here and there.

I still keep speaking with Peter. We have met up few times which Ace wasn't happy about as always.

Sometimes I can't understand him. I know he wants me to be safe and all. But he knows that I can put Peter down if its needed.

Like he doesn't trust me with this.

"So, what's the plans for today?" Ace asked me as I sat near him.

"Well, we must go to gym and train a bit plus we have a deal tonight. It isn't in our club though" I reminded and Ace nodded.

"Yeah that deal. We have already planned it right?" He asked me and I nodded.

Mason entered the kitchen and waved at us sleepily. I did the same and he sat near us after getting himself tea.

"Wow real breakfast. Haven't had that in a long time." Mason said and I chuckled.

It is not every day that we all have a proper breakfast. Mostly we take apple or chocolate bar with us before going out.

"Cherish this Mason. "Ace joked and pat his back. "Where is Jason by the way? Usually he is up early." Ace asked us.

"He went to Blair's house. Sad that will join us in tonight's attack." Mason explained.

I smirked at that and took a sip from my coffee. My phone buzzed meaning that I got new message.

I opened it and saw that it was from Peter. He was asking if he could call me and I said yes.

Soon my phone ringed and I picked it up. "Good morning. How are you?" Peter asked me with cheerful voice.

"Good morning to you too. I am fine what about you?" I answered.

"Ugh, can't he tell the reason why he called already?" Ace grumbled above a whisper.

I just shook my head at him. "Good too. Chance are you and Blair free tonight?" He asked.

"Yeah we are free I guess. Why are you asking?" I asked him.

"Well I wanted to keep my promise and take you out to the club. But different one. Me and one of my friends are planning to go there tonight. If you want you can join." Peter finally said the thing that I wanted to hear.

"Which club is it?" I asked. If it's in another club it will be harder than I thought.

"The one in the downtown. The players. So, you coming or not?" Peter asked.

It was the club that we planned to go anyways. I agreed and He told me that he would write me the details soon.

"What now? You are not coming with us?" Mason asked and Ace nodded.

"I will come but you will have to do the deal without me. I can't be the Rose and Chance at the same time" I said and moved my hand through my hair.

"We just need to do the adjustments to the plan. Other than that, everything is same" I said and stood up from my place.

We went to the gym to talk about the plan with gang members and make changes.

I talked about it with Blair too and we agreed that Jason would stand behind and keep and the on Peter and his friend.

Other would go and do the deal and after they will just relax at the club until I was done.

But still Ace wasn't happy with the situation. "I don't want you to go there. What if-"I cut him off.

"Ace come on. Why are you acting like that? I know you worry about me. But sometimes you are just really hard to understand" I said in annoyance and looked at him.

"But Chance we are going to the other club. We haven't had a deal there before. I am scared that something will happen to you" he said and put his hands on my shoulder.

I shrugged him off. "Ace, seriously? Before you came to the New York I was ruling all of this alone. I was fighting alone with no backup. So, what makes you believe that I can't protect myself now?" I said more angrily this time.

Why do I get angry so easily?!

Ace thought about telling something but then kept it to himself. I sighed and sat near him on the sofa.

"All I wanted to say is, just trust me. I can and will kick his ass. " I said and Ace chuckled.

"I trust you Chance. " he said and hugged me from the back.

But little did I know that all of it was a lie.

Soon it was time for all of us to go. Me and Blair was going a little bit after than boys. Jason went with them so he won't be suspected.

Me and Blair went to our meeting place with Peter and his friend. Soon they came and we went inside.

It is going to be a long night.
