I have very little idea what’s happening, but one thing is clear to me: Tamir can’t go with the Beta. There’s no scenario I can see in which he surrenders himself and gets out alive.
Something has gone wrong in our plan, but I haven’t figured out exactly what it is. My pack’s warriors arrived just as we thought they would, and they went into the mines, as expected. I did my best to use my magic to keep them safe when the bombs went off, and I’m fairly sure it worked. The energy that flowed out of me was intense, stronger than anything I’ve felt before. There are at least a hundred men inside, trapped, and that should mean something to Beta Richard.
