I’m so focused on the big picture that it takes me a moment to realize what’s happened. All around me there are signs I need to watch: fingers twitch against triggers, feet shuffle, glances are exchanged. Each could be significant individually, but together, they tell a story of how Jenetta’s words are being received by the Eastern Moon warriors.
They’re intrigued by what she’s saying; uncertain, but intrigued. It doesn’t hurt that she makes an especially compelling figure when she stands up for herself and addresses them. People tell me I’m a natural leader, and if that’s the case, Jenny shares some of those qualities.
