To try all possible means to find a solution or to find some hope in a difficult or unpleasant situation, even though this seems very unlikely. 🌠 It's about hope, panic, last chances, and people doing wild things when they've been cornered. Evan Logan is a handsome young man who grew up in a rural part of New York. He is determined to escape poverty by all means. But the world seems like a challenge to his success; each straw he tried to grab was lost... but could his last straw be saved? With each setback, Evan’s resolve only hardened, and he found himself exploring unconventional paths. He started networking with local entrepreneurs and attending workshops, hoping to uncover opportunities that others might overlook. As whispers of an unexpected chance floated through the air, Evan felt a flicker of optimism ignite within him, daring him to grasp that elusive possibility with both hands. He simply reached for it.And this time he prayed it would not break.Because sometimes, when life leaves you with nothing but a tiny fragment of hope, all you can do is hold on.Even if you are only grasping at straws.

chapter 1_ The crucible of poverty.
It all commenced like an elusive reverie—the kind that seemed to emerge from the ether yet was so vivid it transcended the realm of mere dreams. Evan, the sole progeny of the late Logan from the Bronx, New York, and Mavis, a modest trader, was raised in a harsh industrial port town, acquainted solely with frigid nights and empty coffers. He persevered through long, arduous evenings alongside his mother, Mavis. As her only offspring, he understood the weight of responsibility that fell upon his shoulders. Each day was a testament to resilience; he learned to navigate the challenges of life with quiet determination. The dim glow of their small home flickered with hope, casting shadows of dreams yet to be realized. In the silence of those endless nights, Evan often conjured visions of escape, where the burdens of his reality faded into the background, making way for a life filled with possibility and adventure. He was a farmer who cultivated vegetables out of season, with the help of his hypotensive mother, who never ceased to assist by selling all the wares from Evan's farm. 1988 was the year, and the 2nd of October was the date. Mavis called her son and said to him, “Son, I am sorry I brought you into an empty home. Please, you need to start a life for a better future generation. If I die, please promise me you will not mourn me too much, because that would be the beginning of conquering your dreams. I would be somewhere with your father Logan, cheering each step with you.” “Mother, why are you saying all this?” was all Evan could say. “Don’t worry, my son, you will find out soon. I am hungry.” And those were her last words to her beloved 19-year-old son. Evan ran out immediately to find something for his sick mother. Would the food be served outside on the terrace as usual? He bought some food from the street, but what he saw at home was the cold body of his mom. He couldn’t believe his eyes; he kept calling her to come and eat, but there was no answer, and just like that, Mavis was gone. After two days of waiting for his mother to wake up from sleep, it dawned on him that she was gone. He was so bitter, but he buried her in a small space in their backyard. What would his next step be? The weight of her absence settled heavily upon him, filling the air with an unbearable silence that seemed to mock his every thought. He resolved to fulfill her unspoken wishes, pouring every ounce of longing into his farming, as if the crops could somehow resurrect the love lost. Yet, with each passing day, the echoes of laughter and warmth faded, replaced by a relentless pursuit of survival that left him more isolated than ever—a reminder that dreams come at all costs. Emily Watson, the daughter of the restaurant owner, who always sold food to Evan every day, including the day his mother passed away, met Evan on her way to the market. After two weeks, she wanted to ask him where he had been for the past few weeks, but she couldn't bear the mournful look on his face. So, she asked him, “Evan, what is wrong with you? You look so weak and depressed.” Evan looked at her tender face and said, “I lost my mom. I just had to come out and talk to somebody.” Emily felt pity for him, so she took him to her shop and gave him something to eat. She offered him hope and told him to calm down. He was so grateful that he thanked her for at least giving him something to eat before he left. But he couldn't forget all that his mom had told him: “Promise me you will not mourn for long. Focus and pursue your future for a better generation.” Those were his mother’s words to him, and with this, he was determined to work harder and smarter. Emily became his closest friend. She took Evan to one of her father’s friends, who was an entrepreneur, and she begged the man to allow Evan to be his apprentice. The man later agreed. Emily, the young beautiful maiden with long hair, beautiful eyes, and well-shaped lips with arranged dentition, always came to their workplace to check on how Evan was doing. She often stole food from their pot to give to Evan, and they both started having feelings for each other and began dating. Emily was the daughter of the wealthy Watson family and their only daughter. Her mother wanted her to marry a rich man or a prince, but she had fallen in love with poor Evan. Will she flee from her love and follow her mother's wishes?
