“Have you guys seen Leah or Jake?” I asked Malcolm and Isabel.
“No, not in a while. Are they not in their rooms?” Isabel asked.
“No, I just left from there and Tabitha said she hasn’t seen them all day.” I said.
“Where would they go?” Malcolm asked as he stood up and started to make his way to the small office under the stairs.
“They were fighting when they left our house. I haven’t seen them since and that was hours ago. I’m worried because we had a delivery today from Leah’s ex.” I told them.
“What kind of delivery?” Isabel asked. I could see the worry on her face and I didn’t want to tell her what the pictures contained.
“A box of pictures and a threatening letter.” I said, not looking Isabel in the eyes.
