THE SHARED CLASS

258 Words
CHAPTER TWO Samantha walked into her psychology class, scanning the room for an empty seat. She spotted one near the back and made her way over, trying not to draw attention to herself. As she sat down, she noticed a familiar face sitting across from her. It was Alex, the handsome stranger she had collided with earlier that day. Samantha felt a flutter in her chest as their eyes met. Alex smiled and nodded in her direction, and Samantha returned the gesture, trying to play it cool. As the professor began to lecture, Samantha found herself distracted by Alex's presence. She couldn't help but sneak glances at him, noticing the way he scribbled notes in the margin of his textbook or the way he leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed and confident. At one point, Alex caught her staring and raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement playing on his lips. Samantha felt her cheeks flush as she quickly looked away, trying to focus on the lecture. But as the class drew to a close, Alex caught up with her in the hallway. "Hey, we should study together for this class," he said, falling into step beside her. "I could use a partner in crime." Samantha smiled, feeling a sense of excitement at the prospect of spending more time with Alex. "I'd like that," she said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. As they walked out of the building together, Samantha couldn't help but wonder if this shared class was the start of something special.
