Accompanied by Jennifer Pierson, Nathan returned to the hotel from the house, relieved that he could do so without going outside.
The storm continued to rage, with no sign of abating, and he could only hope that no-one was unlucky enough to have been caught out in it. The local search and rescue team would be taking their lives into their hands if they got a call to find someone while the wind and rain continued with their current intensity, and that was without considering the danger that came from the lightning that flashed across the sky several times a minute.
The two of them may have been walking side by side, but they might as well have been at opposite ends of the country. Both were preoccupied with the murder of Tracey Pierson, though for different reasons.
