CHAPTER 63 Before he died, Reginald transferred some money into my bank account and made sure his relatives knew I was expected to stay at his home for at least a year rent free. Nobody could sell it or move in before then. The first thing I did was hire Gracie a nanny. Mrs. Danvers was a round, matronly woman in her sixties with nothing to do all day but sit around and fret about her grandchildren who lived too far away for regular visits.
