Everything has changed
Book 2 Rise of the Lycan Hibrid *********************************
⚠️ Trigger Warning: s****l Violence
I groaned my body aching from the hard ground beneath me. I stretched my body hearing my bones crack and creak. My eyes fluttered open and I looked around the cavern I called my home. It now felt more like him than any other place I could remember.
Aside from my childhood home with my mother and father. But, all that was gone now so there was no reason to reminisce about a past that will never be my future. I did miss them though.
My mom, dad, and grandparents. One day, I hoped I would find them, hopefully alive. Until then I knew I had to fight. The world as we knew it was gone and it now looked like we had gone back in time hundreds of years. There was no electricity, and no vehicles worked anymore.
The King had pushed and pushed my mother until her sorceress's magic had activated and taken out the entire electrical grid. That had been his plan. To drain her and then take over. He had changed everything.
We had been forced into hiding as he mentioned those he caught off to the highest bidder. I knew he actively searched for me. He wanted my DNA. Wanted to infect himself with my blood.
I stood from my makeshift bed and switched on my patterns. The light danced across the cavern walls. I walked to the fire and grabbed my kettle. I filled it with water from the spring I was lucky enough to have and placed it back on the hot coals.
After my morning coffee I heated water for my morning bath. Which consisted of me using a bucket and a scrap piece of cloth to wash my body. I managed to wash my hair once a week, but it took too much to do it every other day. I tried to keep it piled up on top of my head in a messy bun to keep it clean. I loved my hair. It was now the longest it had ever been. Down past my ass. The cocoa brown was streaked with highlights from the sun. It had grown lighter now that I spent most of my time outside.
After washing I pulled my clean outfit from the rope that hung above my fire. I pulled on the jeans. They were stiff and rough against my legs but I ignored them, thankful I had clean clothes. I pulled on my long sleeve black thermal shirt, and my black sock. I stuck my feet in my black combat boots and picked up my mirror. The crack that ran through it made my face look uneven.
My father's blue eyes stared back at me. My mother loved that I had my father's eyes. I applied a light coat of mascara to my thick full lashes and a coat of lip lacquer. It wasn't much, but it made me feel better. More like a woman.
I sipped my coffee as I spread the map out on my makeshift table. It was a large flat, bolder one placed on top of a tall one. I was deep in the forest and the Lycan City was a long way away. I didn't enter the city often but now and again I was forced to go to get provisions. Today was one of those days. I always felt on edge during these days.
Though no one knew what I looked like every time someone made eye contact with me, my mind led me to believe they knew who I was. I sprayed myself with descended to keep my purity hidden. I couldn't hide I was a lycan but virgin lycans went for a high price on the market.
Most of us worked in houses of the rich and powerful. Hard work for minimal pay. Vampires, witches, Lycans, and werewolves were all condemned now. Bound by strict rules constructed by the lycan king and his beast. I had never seen his beast and I was thankful for that but I had heard of him.
Strong, powerful, murderer, rapist, and devil. Just some of the words I had heard people describe him with. The rumor was that his servants took the brunt of his evil ways. He forces himself on the women and used the men as punching bags. Now and again word would spread that he had killed another of his servants. He had suppressed his Lycan for fat too long and drove him mad. Now even the beast had a monster inside of him he couldn't control.
I planned my route for today's trip and rolled my map back up and places a rubber around it. I placed it back on the shelf I had made for my maps. I may be in a cavern but it was still clean. I'm a beat freak and if one thing is out of place it drives my OCD crazy. I knew I had developed it because it was the only thing I could control.
I had no control over any other aspect of my life. I couldn't even find my mate. My mother had found out my father was her mate on her 18th birthday, yet here I was 20 years old and sit alone. No family and no mate.
By my age, my mom had an entire family Including my brother. My sweet innocent brother. I had always been so protective of him. This is why when he was led by the king I blamed myself. I wasn't there to help him. I didn't know how even if I would have been, but I knew one thing for sure.
One day, somehow, I would get revenge for him. One day the king would die by my hand and I would smile at him as I watched there drain from his pathetic eyes. He deserved a slow painful death just as he had given my brother and I intended to give it to him.
The day my brother died a part of my mother went with him, as did a part of me. He was the light of my world. Everything about him was good. He was the kindest most beautiful person I had ever known, and he died for no reason.
I brushed a tear from my cheek and slipped on my leather jacket pulling the cotton hood over my head and tucking my braided ponytail inside. I looked in the mirror. I knew I would need to rub dirt on myself before I stepped out into the open so I looked at the part of being homeless and pitiful. I needed the shop owners to pity me and give me a good price on the products I needed.
I made money by saying berries and spices I found in the forest. I knew every plant and edible by heart. Anytime I saw them I stopped and collected what I could to sell or trade later. It's how I got everything that I owned. Though it wasn't much it was still mine. I had worked hard for it and I was proud of it. I had done okay with food up until now, but I had gone 3 Days only surviving on rice and I could feel myself growing weaker. I had no choice. I would have to venture into the city tonight.
I quickly sprayed myself again with decenter which would keep Lycans, Vampires, and all other supernatural's from sniffing my purity out. I made sure my grab bag was placed near the entrance to the cavern in case I was followed home and needed to make a quick escape.
I threw my crossbow over my shoulder and place my blade in the sheath at my hip. I looked in the mirror surveying myself. This would have to do. My high cheekbones, long lashes, and full lips were hard to hide. Not to mention my breast I had inherited from my mother which were almost impossible to hide but duct tape helped. I wrapped. I wrapped it around them after putting on a sports bra though it hurt like a b***h to remove. I hid the entrance to the cavern and made my way to the closest convenience store.
The city was a couple of miles from my cavern. I planned to hit the closest convenience store. It was a small store we used to visit regularly that had a small number of groceries and everyday items. As soon as I stepped out of the into the forest I felt as if I was being watched. I had stooped down and waited and couldn't see or hear anything so I continued on my journey. I stuck to the shadows and the tree line until I reach the city limits. I then stayed in the alleyways and hid in the darkness.
I finally made it to the store after an hour of creeping my way there. I went in the backway that was meant for employees. There was no shop owners here as there was last week which led me to believe he had been either killed or sold off. I quickly searched the shelves shoving items in my bag. I was thinking of the Goddess when I ran across instant coffee and powdered french vanilla creamer. I couldn't go without my caffeine and mountain dew had been off the menu for a while.
I grabbed batteries and some Tylenol along with deodorant. I made my way over to the herb aisle and grabbed a bottle of wolves bane. I had been using it to stop myself from going into heat. Wolves' bane mixed with dragon's blood had been successful so far. My mother had begun giving it to me when I hadn't found my mate. It was dangerous for unmated females to go into hest so it was necessary to hold it off as long as possible.
I grabbed baby wipes and bottles of water and several Gatorade from the cooler to keep me hydrated. The spring kept things nice an cool for me. I was lucky the shelves still contained a few food items. There was treat meat, canned ham, tuna, chili, ramen noodles, bread, and peanut butter.
I packed it all away in my bag and was getting ready to head back out the back door when I seen a large black figure standing in the doorway. Had they been watching me? Were they aware that I was in the store?
I hunkered down and worked my way between the shelves. I could hear their footsteps crunching against the glass on the floor. It was drawing closer and closer. I didn't know what to do at this point other than to fight. I waited until they were a couple of feet away from me and stood up with my crossbow c****d and pointed at their chest.
"Whoa. Look at you. All alone in a city full of blood-crazed creatures with a crossbow for protection." The man chuckled. "Don't come any closer," I warned him. "You think I'm scared of you little one!" He chuckled, his voice deep and strong.
I could smell his aura. He was a Lycan with Alpha blood. Lycans were stronger and faster than werewolves, but weaker than vampires. Or most of them were at least. Their beast was more humanlike and walked on two legs instead of four.
A werewolf wouldn't stand a chance against a Lycans and neither did I. My supernatural side was dormant. All of themI So much for being a tribrid. I can smell your fear little one." He growled as he lift his nose in the air sniffing. His eyes glowed red which meant his beast was close. He could shift at any moment.
"You smell so good little one.." he whispered stepping closer to me. I held my chin out and kept my arrow pointed at his chest. It might not kill him but it would injure him enough for me to get away. "Just leave me be. " I yelled at him.
"Shh shh shh. We don't want to alert anyone else of your presence now do we? " He shushed me. The bell signaling the front door had been opened sounded and I turned my head giving the Lycan enough time to snatch the crossbow and detain me. He held me firmly against his hard chest.
"What's that smell Beta? You got a female in there with you?" An eerie voice asked from the door as he sniffed the air. He was smaller than the Lycan that now had me around the waist. "It's none of your business Rodic now get out." The man growled releasing his aura making even me whine. The man at the door gasped and quickly left. "Yes, Beta!" He groaned.
Once the man was gone the Lycan drug me to the back of the store into the storage room. I struggled and fought him but it was no use. I was no match for him. He pushed me up against the wall and ran his hand down my body while his other held me around my throat. "Please," I begged a tear slipping down my cheek. "Don't cry little one, I only want to make you feel good." The Lycan smiled at me. I could see him now that he was inches from my face. He was huge. His shoulders and biceps look like rolling mountains. He had a bald head and a close-shaven beard.
I noticed a bite mark on his shoulder near his neck. He was mated! "Wouldn't your mate smell me on you?" I asked him trying anything I could think of to get him to stop. Before I knew it he slammed my head against the wall and pain burst begin my eyes and I seen sparkles. "Don't you dare speak of my mate? You know nothing!" He roared. He lifted my shirt and ripped my pants button tearing them open. "Please don't!" I begged. He didn't listen only tightened his hold around my throat. He slid his hand down my panties and his large fingers slipped between my folds. My legs were shaking so much that his grip on my throat was the only thing that kept me upright. I crossed my legs to stop his fingers. " No please," I begged.
He spread my legs with his knee and his fingers went to my entrance. I swallowed the bile rising in my throat. He pushed his large finger inside me and I gasped at the intrusion. It hurt badly. He moved his finger in and out of me coating his finger with my juices. I heaved as the contents of my stomach threatened to come up. He groaned loudly. He finally pulled his hand from my pants and looked me in the eye as he put his finger in his mouth tasting my juices. I looked away as shame flooded me. He began jerking his belt off and unbuttoning his pants and I was struck with a fear I never knew existed. If I didn't get away from him he was going to rape me. Panic took over and my body began to pulsate.
I could feel my magic igniting, no lo ger dormant and flowing through my veins like it had replaced my blood. My hands burned like fire and I brought them up grabbing his head. He began to scream and I c****d my head enjoying his torture. "Shush now. We don't want anyone to hear you." I mocked him. I pushed him down onto the floor and jumped on him.
I put my hands on his large chest as I straddled his stomach. "You'll never touch another woman and take her without her permission," I growled through gritted teeth. His muffled voice pleaded with me. I reach back and grabbed his c**k and I felt my hand heating once more. His cries turned to muffled screams as I cauterized the veins in his c**k making him impotent. I stood up and kicked him hard in the side of his head knocking him out. I looked down at my jeans and the button was missing. I kicked him again. "That's for ruining my jeans you f*****g predator." I roared.
I went back to the front and picked up my bag and left through the back entrance. Once I made it back to my cavern without going to the other shops I had intended on visiting I was finally able to relax and the tears began to flow down my cheeks as my legs shook. I stripped off my clothes and sunk down into the cold water of the spring trying to rid myself of his scent. I never entered the spring because I used it for cooking, but today I did.
