Make Yourself at Home

I scrambled around the cavern as I prepared dinner for myself and Jasper. My mate! It still didn't seem real. After so long hoping and wishing he had found me. Though I was still reluctant to trust him. Just because he was my mate didn't mean he wouldn't hurt me. I had heard of those who killed their mates as they seen them as giving them a weakness or one would betray the other. Some Lycans and werewolves had even killed their mate during their first mating. Their knot had tore their insides out and in turn they had killed themselves. I had pulled out all the stops for tonight. I had bathed in my metal tub and filled it with tue essential oil I had traded at tue market. I wore my simple black dress with a black sweater over top and my black slippers as high heels were impossible in the cavern. My hair fell naturally around my shoulders. The mascara accentuated my eyes making them appear larger and I stained my lips red with some berries I had stored. I stirred the pot of beef stew I was preparing. I was happy I had cured the tender roast from the deer I hsd killed a couple weeks ago and stored in my homemade ice box. Curing my meat made it last up to a month. The delicious smell filled the cavern and my mouthy watered. I hadn't made myself a meal like this in a while not wanting it to go to waste as it was only me eating. I pulled thye apple pie from the hearth and sat it atop my makeshift table to let it cool. I placed the metal plates on my stone dinner table and re two metal mugs I had stored. I sat the wine I hsd been saving for years in the bucket of ice col water to keep it chilled. It would go perfect with the roast. I sliced and buttered tue cooled bread and finally sat the table. "It smells delicious in here." Jaspers voice made me jump. "I'm sorry little one, I didn't mean to startle you." he smiled at me. "I'm just not used to having company. Please sit. Everything is ready." I smiled widely at him excited to have someone to enjoy a meal with. Jasper walked over to me and took my hand looking into my eyes and brought it to his lips. He kissed it gently sending tingles up my arm. "I'm honored to be sharing this meal with you tonight. Thank you for tye invitation." he whispered bringing his hand from behind his back to reveal brightly colored tulips in colors of red, yellow, blue and violet. My eyes widened and I smiled brightly. "Thank you so very much Jasper. That is so kind of you." I grinned as I took the flowers. I filled a cup with water and placed the flowers inside it and sat it upon the table. Jasper took a seat on the rock I used for a chair and I plated our food. I sat down across from him and looked at him. "Would you mind pouring the wine?" I asked nervously. "Of course." he nodded, taking tye wine from the water and using his knife to remove thye cork. He poured our cups full an replaced tye cork and sat the wine back inside the bucket. "You have a nice set-up here. How long have you lived here if you don't mind me asking." he looked at me as he stabbed apiece of meat with his fork and placed it in his mouth. I watched nervously as he closed his eyes and chewed the meat. A moan escaped his lips making me tingle low in my stomach. What was this man doing to my body? "Absolutely delicious." he opened his eyes and smiled. Relieved I smiled back at him. "It's been a few years now. I found this place after I was separated from my family and slowly I have made it my home. " I explained to him. "It's absolutely beautiful. The tapestries and touches furniture make it feel like an actual home. I seen ypur bed though. It must be tough sleeping on the cave floor. I know my back was punished last night." He smiled as hye bent his back stretching it. I humped my shoulders as I took a bite of my stew. The flavors burst on my taste buds and I moaned as I let tye deliciousness fill my mouth. When I opened my eyes Jasper was starring at me with lust frilled eyes. I relt a heat rising up to my fave ñand quickly looked down at my bowl. "I've gotten used to it. It was uncomfortable at first but I've added to the padding over the years." I explained to him. "I would be honored if I could build you a bed of sorts. I am good with my hands Ensley. I can do many things you could only dream of. His eyes bore into me but I couldn't decipher the hidden meanings behind his words though they felt dirty and embarrassing. "I couldn't ask that of you." I told him. "You didn't. I offered." he smiled. I grinned back at him. "Okay, but only if you make you one as well." his eyes widened. "You want me to stay here with you?" he asked surprised. "Follow me." I told him as I stood up and made my way across the cave. I heard his footsteps behind me and went to the corner of the cave and pulled back thye curtain revealing a large open room. "You can make this place yours if you wish. Sort of like a bedroom. There's another over there but I haven't got around to outting my bedroom inside it yet. " I explained to him as we stepped inside thue room. "This would be perfect. And how about we get that room set up for you as well while were at it. I coule possibly build you a dresser and a holder for a makeshift closet of sorts." he recommends and I smiled shuky nodding. We sat back down and finished pur meal. Conversation flowed easily between us and the lust seemed to build as tye night carried on. How would I ever deny him my body? My head wasn't ready yet but my body was kore than willing.
I was tired of being alone and was excited for him to stay with me though the would have to follow my rules. If this place was ever discovered it would break my heart to have to start all over once again. Though this may just be a dirty cave to many it was home to me and now I had my mate to make it feel truly like my safe haven. I felt safe here before but was always on edge about being discovered and trapped with nowhere to go or to escape to. This was a dead end and the entrance was also the only exit. Having Jasper here made me feel more relaxed than I had been in as long as I could remember.
