Chapter Thirteen

We’re back in the Jeep and ready for the next adventure. I choose some songs, and John configures the onboard navigation to the next location.
Although I didn’t get as much sleep as I would have wished for, I woke up refreshed and feel great, looking forward to today. Yesterday was a full, busy day. I wonder if every day of our road trip will be as busy or if we will be able to have slower-moving days too. Relaxing is definitely high on my list of priorities. Something like a rainy day and watching movies would be great right about now.
The heat of the day is exhausting, the sun is blistering, and although there are some clouds, the only thing they are good for is taking great pictures.
