Chapter 5: Drake

After such a long day of work, I had suggested to Elliot that we should go out and have some fun. He agreed and said I could choose what we did; I decided we’d go to the strip club on 4th Avenue downtown. I’ve heard good things, and someone mentioned some new dancers. We had gone there a few nights ago, but we didn’t do anything; no dances or anything. We just wanted drinks and to see women throw themselves at us.  We walked in and found a booth, “I’ll get some drinks; you can scout the scene.” I told Elliot he had already helped himself to the booth and propped up his feet. He nodded to me as I walked towards the bar. I went up to the bartender; she was a pretty thing, her black hair was pulled back in a ponytail, and her green eyes shone brightly like the fresh grass in the summer. She smiled when I came up, “What can I get you, sexy?” She asked in a seductive tone; I smirked,  “I need four shots of Tequila,” I told her; she smiled, “Where are you sitting?” She asked me, I pointed to the booth Elliot and I was sitting at, “Oh my, there’s another sexy man? My, my, this must be my lucky night.” She said, clearly wanting to get in our pants; I chuckled, “Just the shots. Thanks.” I told her as I turned away and walked back towards the booth. That’s when we heard the DJ, “Alright, guys, we have someone new coming to the stage for the first time ever.” Elliot nodded to the waitress bringing the shots over; we took one of the shots and drank it, “Here she is, Ana!” Our attention turned to the stage as the music began playing, and our hearts stopped. There she was, her back to everyone as the music slowly started, and before long, we were mesmerized by her movements. Elliot and I couldn’t keep our eyes off her; I bit my lip thinking about her in my chambers, thinking of everything I could and would do to her, “Ah, the Leviathan brothers,” I turned my head to see our oldest friend come toward us; I smirked,  “Jackson, still as youthful as ever.” He chuckled,  “Yes, well, when you’re around for countless centuries, it’s hard to look this good.” Elliot and I laughed at his ignorance, then I pointed to Ana, who was nearly finished with her dance, “How much for a dance with her?” I asked; he looked to see where I was pointing,  “In a private room and for you both?” Jackson asked; I nodded. He thought for a moment, then smiled, “No charge, for old times sake.” He stated, “I still owe you for helping me get this place running. I nodded thanks as Jackson called over someone; a tall blonde came over to us; she had a bit of a Harley Quinn look going on. “Lucy, please escort the Leviathan brothers to the private VIP room, please. Their dancer will be there soon.” Jackson told the girl. She nodded and did as she was told.  We waited in the room; Lucy had gotten us some champagne before leaving us alone. I turned to Elliot, “How do you think this is going to go?” I asked; he hesitated, taking a sip from his flute,  “Not sure, but let’s at least set the mood a bit.” He said as he stood up and went over to the fireplace and lit it with his fire. Purple flames erupted to life. Just as the fire began burning, the door opened, and Ana walked in; she closed the door without turning to face us. Elliot leaned against the fireplace, and I grabbed the third flute of champagne, “We meet again, my dear.” Elliot breaks the silence, and Ana slowly turns around. I took the opportunity to hand her the flute, she glanced at it cautiously, I smiled, “It’s not spiked, I promise,” I told her; she took it and took a small sip. I motioned for her to sit on the couch, but then she noticed the purple flames. It was like she was frozen, and before we could realize it, Ana dropped her flute; the glass shattered, and soon she came into realization of what happened, “Oh gosh, I’m sorry, I’m such a klutz.” She said, bending over to pick it up, but I stopped her, “Don’t worry about it; we’ll take care of it,” I say as I help her to the couch. Elliot began picking up the glass and cleaning up the liquid. Ana sat on the sofa, still hazy; what caused this, I wondered. I watched the flames, “What are you thinking, brother?” I asked Elliot through our link. He tensed slightly, “I’m not sure; this is the first time I’ve witnessed anything like this.” He told me. I watched Ana for a moment before looking at my brother as he sat across from us. We both watched Ana until she finally looked between us, “So, you two requested me?” She asked, looking between the two of us, “Why?” I looked over at Elliot, but he didn’t give me any information I needed to know. Ana turned her head. I followed her, noticing the enormous bed. Ana stood and was fuming, “If you two think we’re going to have s*x, you’d be sorely mistaken.” She tells us, I tensed and stood, “No! That is not our intent!” I told her,  “We just wanted to see you again, check on you. We didn’t know you worked here.” Elliot added; Ana didn’t look convinced but sat back down.  “I’m supposed to dance for you. I guess I could do that, but if you two touch more than you’re supposed to, it’ll be the last thing you ever do. Am I clear?” She asked; Elliot and I shared a glance, then nodded, “Clear,” I say,  “If only she knew about us.” Elliot chuckled through the link; I smirked,  “Indeed, brother,” I said to him; Ana got up and turned on some music, then came over to me and climbed on top of me,  “Don’t think you’re going to see more than only my tits.” She tells us, making us chuckle,  “That’s fine, dear. We weren’t planning anything, don’t worry.” Elliot told her. She began giving me a lap dance, delicately removing her top. I bit my lip when her breasts came into view, and she continued her dance while I talked to Elliot through the link,  “Is it weird?” I asked him, “Doing this to a woman who looks exactly like Maryanne? Would this be considered cheating?” Elliot gave me a look then wiped it away when Ana turned to him and got on top of him. “A little, but Maryanne is gone; no matter how much she looks like her, it’s still not her.” He reminds me, tensing up as she glides her hands under his shirt. I sighed; she seemed like she really didn’t want to do this but did it so she could get some money. I reached in my pocket and pulled out five hundred dollars, and tossed it on the table. She noticed me setting the money down, but I don’t think she realized how much it was. Ana continued grinding on Elliot, then I got up the courage,  “Ana, do you like dancing?” I asked her. She froze in her movements, clearly stunned by my question. Elliot looked at me curiously, ”What are you doing?” He asked me through our link; I waited for Ana’s answer, she sighed, ”No.” She stated plainly, “I was a bartender, but my boss saw me dance on the security cameras before we opened. I came in early to clean and set up, and since I was alone, I wanted to practice a little since my roommates took the time to teach me some moves.” I nodded in understanding,  “So, you were asked to be a dancer, and you said yes?” Elliot asked. I was wondering the same thing; Ana scoffed, “No, I got blackmailed into it.” I scooted closer but then, “This isn’t really of your business.” She snapped, which took me by surprise. Ana stood up from Elliots’ lap and walked over to the fireplace, hugging herself as she stared at the purple flames. I looked at Elliot, who wore the same expression as me, concern. I decided to walk towards her but remained a respectful distance away, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.” I explained, “I’m just curious why a beautiful and clearly intelligent young woman, such as yourself, ended up here as a dancer?” Ana tensed and shook her head, then turned, “Look, all I will say is that my boss is a jerk who blackmailed me into dancing. That’s all I’m going to say about the subject.” She replied. Elliot and I nodded in understanding, “What are you thinking, bother?” Elliot asked through the link; I was trying to figure that out. I looked at him, “We need a secretary, and she doesn’t like it here,” “So you want to offer her a job?” I shrugged slightly. Elliot nodded and turned away; I put my attention back on Ana, “Ana, if you would like to continue dancing, you can. However, I have a proposition to run by you if you’d like to have a seat and chat.” She raised her brow curiously at me, then nodded; before she sat down, she put her top back on and picked up the money, eyes going wide at how much, ”Five hundred dollars?” She asked, the surprise evident in her voice, “Did you want to change or something?” I chuckled and shook my head, ”That’s for you. For the dance.” I then noticed Elliot reaching into his pocket, and he too pulled out five hundred dollars and placed it in her hand, “And don’t even think about splitting it or giving it back.” Elliot told her sternly, “That is your money; you earned it.” Ana nodded, not sure what was going on. She sighed and placed the money in her boots, then turned to the both of us, ”Thank you.” She said, then she straightened up, crossing her leg over the other; very business professional, I thought to myself. “So, what is this proposition?” Her voice was stern, very stern, but delicate too; she spoke with power in it, which I admit, turned me on. “Yes,” I said, coming back to the real world, “my brother and I are heads of our own corporation, Leviacorp. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.” Ana’s jaw was on the floor, which caused us both to smirk, “That’s the biggest industry in the city. Perhaps in the world, you own half of Alador City.” She said, Elliot cringed slightly, not enough for Ana to notice, but I did, “Yes, we manage businesses, restaurants, etc.,” I told her, “At one point in time, our family even owned the abandoned castle on the mountain,” Elliot added, which seemed to really surprise her. “Anyways, brother, get to the point.” I nodded, “We are currently in need of a secretary. Just someone to help in the office, answer calls, and help us manage events.” Ana seemed to have her interest peaked but kept her stern demeanor, “We can offer you say, fifty an hour, with payday being every two weeks.” I looked at Elliot, who nodded in agreement, then at Ana, who was trying her best to keep that stern demeanor but not doing it well. Ana then stood and began pacing, clearly trying to think it through, “Let me get this straight. You two are willing to pay me fifty dollars per hour I work, just answering phones and stuff?”  “Is fifty not enough? I’m not sure how much more we could go, maybe one hundred, one hundred and fifty,” Ana’s face went pale as a ghost, “still not enough? Elliot, you want to try some numbers?” Before he could even get a number out, Ana cupped her hands over his mouth, “No, no, fifty is plenty.” She said, slowly removing her hands, “I just wasn’t expecting so much for a secretary.” Elliot and I chuckled,  “All of our employees’ pay is based on their work and effort towards the work.” Elliot explained, “You were willing to do something that you did not want to do, and honestly, you did it well.” Ana blushed madly,  “I agree because, excuse me if this is too forward, but you’re the sexiest woman here tonight.” My comment made her blush even more, “I know this is all very sudden, so, if you’d like,” I reached in my other pocket and pulled out one of our cards, “this card has both of our personal numbers on it. Once you’ve made a decision, give us a call, and we’ll get you in the system, and you’ll be able to start.” Ana took the card and shoved it in her boot with the money. “If you’d like, you can go.” Elliot told her; she nodded and stood, walking towards the door, “And thank you for the dance. It was lovely.” She kept her back to us, “You’re welcome.” She muttered, then she quickly walked out the door. I turned to Elliot and smiled,  “I think that went well,” I told him; he chuckled,  “Let’s go home.” We both headed out the door and went home. I awoke the following day, a slight pounding in my head. I reached over to the nightstand and pulled out some aspirin, and went to my bathroom for a glass of water. I set the glass down after taking the medicine and started the shower. The heated water engulfed me in its steam and instantly relaxed my muscles. I went into my closet to grab my clothes for the day; even though it was Saturday, I had to go into the office to prepare for a meeting on Monday. I grabbed my most casual set of work clothes and laid them on the bed, and headed for the shower.  After my shower, I wrapped myself in a towel and went to my bedroom. Without even a knock, Elliot barged into the room, “What are you doing today?” He asked; I placed a hand on my hip and motioned towards the clothes on my bed and the stacks of paperwork on my nightstand, “I’m working. Why?” Elliot crossed his arms and smiled. It’s the smile I haven’t seen in so long, “What’s going on, Elliot?” I asked,  “We have a new employee.” My jaw dropped, I was about to ask, but he read my mind, “Ana called me at five this morning. She’s getting a ride to the club.” He told me, my face lit up like the Fourth of July!  “Great! I’ll get everything set up, and we can take her out to dinner tonight so she can sign everything.” Elliot gave me a look,  “Dinner?” Elliot questioned, “Brother, do you have feelings for her?” I glanced up at him as I took off my towel and dried my hair. We weren’t embarrassed or ashamed of our nudity in front of each other; it’s natural for us. If things had been different with Maryanne, we would have even made love to the same woman at the same time. I started getting dressed as I formed my answer to his accusation, “Not at all; I just thought that since we’ll be working so closely together, it would be nice to get to know each other more. Found out her boundaries.” I replied, “I just don’t want her to think that since we are older, more successful, and a great deal more powerful, we won’t try to take advantage of her.” Elliot gave me a look then chuckled, “That’s bullshit, but whatever helps you sleep at night.” He went out the door, but before he left the room, I had the nerve to say, “You like her too, so it doesn’t matter if I do or not.” He didn’t retaliate because I think he knows that I’m right, and he feels guilty. I sighed as I finished getting dressed. All those years ago, when our beloved bride was killed right in front of us and that damned curse placed, we were chased into hiding. Aladora took over the village, most of the now Alador City area. Her son named it after himself, but it was Alador Ridge because of our castle back then. Centuries later, they decided to rename it since the small town became a city. We managed to kill both her and her son, but we regretted it soon after because we remembered the curse, only one of her descendants could end it. Since their deaths, there was no hope for us now.
