Chapter 22 Emma’s POV Mom came home about an hour after me and unloaded the truck. She had potting soil, colorful new flowers, and mulch. She was very happy. She was also very sweaty, so once she got through unloading, she headed to the shower. I had 6 cake pans in the oven. I had decided to make two cakes. Gigi had talked all the way home. She was so excited to go there tonight. She told me that they had been invited twice before, but they were moving in, and they didn’t have time. The cakes were out and cooling on the island when Mom came back down. “Go ahead and grab a shower, Emma,” She said before grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. “I was going to shower when I came back home, Mom.
