Colton’s POV
Emma looked gorgeous. I couldn’t wait to show her off to my family. They were going to love her just as much as I did. My jeans were a bad choice tonight. I should have worn my black dress pants; I would have had more room for my growing problem in them. But I didn’t want to dress up too much tonight. She might think that I thought this was a date. I did, actually, but I wasn’t going to be admitting that to her. Her emerald green dress brought out her eyes, and it was hard not to keep looking at her.
I could tell that her grandfather was extremely protective of her. His lips had thinned out when Elora had suggested that Emma ride with me. I don’t know why he's clearly not open to her dating, or if it’s just something he has against me. I will try to get him away
