I burst into the study, breathless and gasping. “King Zavan–”   I stopped short, having nearly stumbled into a couple Deltas. The study was crowded with them– three of them, and Beta Tyler.   “A meeting?” I was still panting, but my gaze found King Zavan’s immediately.   “There was an emergency situation that needed to be dealt with,” King Zavan said coolly.   Beta Tyler’s eyes flickered to him.   “You mean the outbreak?” I asked, feeling less betrayed.   “Yes,” said King Zavan, not missing a beat.   “Someone collapsed just outside the upper level archives,” I told him quickly. “A Delta.”   “Another one?” breathed the lanky Delta of the three before me.   “Not just one. There was a second Delta with him, and he looked sick as well.”   One of the Deltas in the room paled
