At thirty-three, Astrid Aagaard believes her chance at a true mate bond died years ago. Cast aside by her pack for being a dormant, "human-blooded" wolf, she returns to her family's northern estate under the care of her twin brothers. But she isn't returning to safety—she is stepping into an arena of ravenous monsters.

Her brothers' seven elite pack leaders—Bjørn, Olav, Magnus, Jakob, Einar, Emil, and Lukas—are the most ruthless, ridiculously wealthy Alpha lords in the hemisphere. And they share one dark, forbidden obsession: Astrid.

When a Blood Moon ritual triggers an ancient anomaly, revealing that Astrid is bound not to one Alpha, but tethered to all seven through a cursed pack seal, the wolf world shatters. They refuse to share her, yet they refuse to let her go. Driven by possessive madness, the seven men turn their lethal power against the world to keep her. When pack treachery, dark secrets, and bloody duels force Astrid to play a game where every choice bleeds, she’ll have to tap into her secret power to save them all from mutual destruction, leading to a bittersweet ending where devotion costs the ultimate price.

CHAPTER 1: THE HUNGRY WOLVES OF AAGAARD
The freezing mountain wind howled through the pines, biting into my skin like jagged needles. At thirty-three years old, I was returning to my family’s ancestral estate in complete disgrace. My ex-mate had cast me out three days ago, stripping me of my pack title and leaving me in the snow because my werewolf gene remained stubbornly dormant. In our world, a woman past thirty without an active wolf was considered worthless. A broken vessel. A ghost. I dragged my single battered suitcase up the grand stone steps of the Aagaard estate, my teeth chattering uncontrollably. I expected my twin brothers to open the door, wrap me in a blanket, and offer me a quiet place to hide from the world. Instead, when the heavy oak door swung open, the air inside hit me like a wall of sheer, suffocating heat. The scent of cedar, expensive whiskey, cold steel, and raw blood-pine flooded my senses. I froze on the threshold. My brothers were nowhere in sight. Standing in the grand marble foyer were seven men. They were my brothers' childhood friends—the seven most powerful, ruthless, and obscenely wealthy Alpha lords in the entire northern hemisphere. I knew every single one of them by name, but I had not seen them together in years. In the center stood Bjørn Bergsvåg, the High Alpha of the Northern Coalition and a mining magnate whose word was absolute law. His broad shoulders filled out a charcoal wool coat, and his sharp, scarred jaw was tight with an emotion I couldn't read. To his right, Olav Bergesen stood leaning against the marble pillar. Olav was the pack’s chief executioner, a private security mogul whose arms were covered in dark, ancient ritual tattoos that flexed as he crossed his chest. Magnus Aalberg, the sharp-suited tech billionaire who controlled the northern syndicate's finances, sat near the grand fireplace, swirling amber liquor in a crystal glass. His icy blue eyes snapped to mine the second I stepped over the threshold. In the shadows near the staircase leaned Jakob Berdal, the master tracker whose silent, brooding presence was enough to make full-grown warriors tremble. Beside him were Einar Åmås, the towering arms empire magnate whose feral gaze held a dangerous heat; Emil Aaberge, the silver-tongued diplomat whose charming smile hid a lethal blade; and Lukas Aakvaag, the chief biotech executive whose clinical gaze swept over me like a scalpel. Seven billionaire Alphas. Seven lethal predators. And all seven of them were staring directly at me. The silence in the grand hall was so heavy I could hear the rapid, pathetic pounding of my human heart. "Astrid," Bjørn’s deep, baritone voice echoed off the high ceiling, sending a shudder straight down my spine. "Where are my brothers?" I managed to whisper, clutching my coat tighter around my shivering body. "They said they would meet me here." "Erik and Leif were called to the southern border to deal with a rogue outbreak," Magnus said smoothly, setting his glass down with a soft click. He stood up, adjusting his tailored suit jacket as he walked toward me with slow, deliberate steps. "They asked us to take care of you until they return." "All of you?" I asked, taking an instinctive half-step backward. Before my heel could hit the icy porch outside, the heavy double doors slammed shut behind me with a thunderous bang. Einar and Emil were suddenly standing right behind me, blocking the exit. "Did you really think we would let you sleep in a cold house alone, little wolf?" Einar rumbled, his voice low and raspy. He reached out, his massive, warm hand catching my chin before I could pull away. His thumb brushed my trembling bottom lip, sending a strange electricity shooting through my skin. 'Look at you,' Olav growled, pushing away from the pillar and striding towards us like a panther stalking its prey. His dark eyes flashed with an unholy amber light as he stared down at my pale, exhausted face. "That pathetic ex-husband of yours left you out in the storm like garbage." "He was never her true husband," Jakob spoke from the shadows, his quiet voice cutting through the thick atmosphere like a razor. "He was an insect who didn't know what he possessed." I swallowed hard, my chest rising and falling rapidly as the seven men slowly closed the circle around me. "I don't need taking care of," I said, trying to force my voice to sound strong and dignified. "I am thirty-three years old. I am an adult, not a child." Emil let out a soft, dangerous chuckle that vibrated in his chest. "We know you aren't a child, Astrid," Emil murmured, stepping so close his hot breath fanned against the sensitive shell of my ear. "That is precisely why we are all here." Bjørn stepped into the center of the circle, his tall, imposing frame casting a massive shadow over me. Without asking for permission, his large, calloused hands reached up and unbuttoned my wet, snow-soaked coat. "Bjørn, wait—" I stammered, my hands flying up to press against his broad chest. Through the fabric of his shirt, his heart was beating with a violent, possessive rhythm that matched the heat radiating from his skin. He ignored my protest, gently peeling the heavy coat off my shoulders and tossing it onto the marble floor like trash. His amber eyes swept down my body, taking in the bruised skin on my wrists—scars left behind by my ex-mate's brutal pack guards when they threw me into the cells. A low, guttural growl erupted from deep within Bjørn’s chest. It was not a human sound. It was the sound of a primal Alpha wolf whose territory had been violated. The moment Bjørn growled, the atmosphere in the room shifted instantly from intense to terrifying. Olav’s eyes flared golden. Einar’s jaw clenched so hard his veins bulged against his neck. Magnus’s calm facade cracked, revealing a dark, ravenous hunger. Lukas stepped forward, his clinical demeanor completely evaporating as he reached out and gently gripped my bruised wrist. His fingers were warm, tracing the yellowing marks on my soft skin with terrifying gentleness. "Who touched your wrists, Astrid?" Lukas asked, his voice deathly quiet. "Tell me his name so I can dissect his hands piece by piece." "It doesn't matter," I whispered, my heart hammering against my ribs. "It’s over. I left. I just want to rest." "It does matter," Olav snarled, stepping up behind me until his chest was flush against my back, trapping me between his solid frame and Bjørn’s broad chest. I gasped as Olav buried his face in the crook of my neck, taking a deep, greedy breath of my scent. "Your scent is full of tear-stains and cold ash," Olav whispered against my skin, making my knees go weak. "It turns my stomach to know another man made you bleed." "You belong in the northern estate now," Magnus added, his tone smooth yet unyielding as he stepped closer. "Under our protection. Under our control." I looked at all seven of them, my mind spinning into complete chaos. These were the most dangerous men in the werewolf world. They possessed armies, billions of dollars, and enough political power to crush whole packs with a single command. Yet here they were, hovering over me in the dim light of the foyer, looking at me not as their friends' older sister, but like star-crossed monsters who had finally trapped their prize. "I need to go to my room," I said, trying to pull away from Olav's suffocating warmth and Bjørn's overpowering gaze. "You will rest soon," Bjørn said, his voice softer now, though his grip on my waist remained ironclad. "We have prepared the master suite for you." Before I could process his words, a sharp, metallic ring chimed from Jakob’s phone. Jakob pulled the encrypted device from his pocket, his dark eyes scanning the screen. His posture froze, and his expression hardened into stone. "What is it, Jakob?" Emil asked, his eyes never leaving my face. "It’s her ex-husband’s pack," Jakob said softly, his voice dripping with lethal intent. "They just crossed our southern border entry point." My blood ran completely ice-cold. "What?" "He brought twenty armed pack enforcers," Jakob continued, looking up from the phone. "He claims Astrid took pack funds before she fled, and he demands we hand her over immediately." Panic flared in my throat. My ex-husband was relentless. He didn't want the money—he wanted to humiliate me, to lock me away so I couldn't tell the world how he treated me. "Please," I gasped, looking up at Bjørn in sheer terror. "Don't let him take me back. I didn't steal anything!" Bjørn looked down at me, his hand moving up to cup the back of my head, drawing my face into the warmth of his neck. "Nobody is taking you anywhere, Astrid," Bjørn rumbled, his voice laced with a promise that made the air itself vibrate. Olav let out a dark, wicked laugh behind me, reaching for the concealed blade strapped to his thigh. "Twenty enforcers?" Olav purred, his eyes glowing bright yellow in the dim light. "They brought twenty men to take our Queen?" "Let them come," Einar growled, cracking his knuckles as he headed toward the heavy front doors. "I’ll personally tear his heart out of his chest." "Wait!" I cried out, grabbing Bjørn’s shirt as the seven men prepared to mobilize. "You can't go out there! An attack on a neighboring Alpha will start a full-scale pack war!" Bjørn looked down at me, his thumb gently wiping away a stray tear from my cheek. His expression was terrifyingly serene, filled with an absolute, unhinged devotion that made my soul tremble. "Let the world burn, Astrid," Bjørn whispered, his lips brushing against my temple. "If he wants you back, he will have to march through seven mountains of blood." Before I could speak, Jakob’s phone chimed a second time. Jakob looked at the screen, his eyebrows furrowing in sudden confusion. "Jakob?" Magnus asked sharply. "What happened?" "They didn't stop at the border checkpoint," Jakob said, his voice dropping an octave as he stared at the security feed on his screen. "They aren't coming to negotiate. They just detonated a silver-gas payload at the gatehouse." My breath caught in my throat. Silver gas was a banned chemical weapon—lethal to werewolves, completely tearing apart their internal organs within minutes. Suddenly, the lights in the grand hall flickered violently and died, plunging the entire estate into pitch-black darkness. And then, from the hallway directly beneath us in the basement level, a heavy, mechanical locking mechanism began to turn. CLICK. CLICK. CLICK. Every single blast door, window shutter, and emergency exit in the entire fortress slammed shut with heavy, iron seals. We weren't just protected inside the estate. We were completely locked in. "The security system was breached from the inside," Lukas said, his voice sharp and clinical in the darkness as the smell of strange, metallic smoke began to seep through the floorboards. Someone inside the estate had betrayed us. And in the darkness, I felt seven pairs of burning, glowing eyes lock onto me at the exact same time.
