“THANKS SO MUCH girls for holding the fort here for two days.” Lyn unlocked the café door and looked about her appreciatively at the spotlessly clean floor and shining tables.
“No problem. Reggie has been an absolute star.” Sara smiled at Reggie, who blushed.
“There’ll be a little bonus in your pay packets this week.”
“Thanks. It’ll go towards some curtains for the new house. Jamie and I will be moving in as soon as the contracts are exchanged.”
“Wow! Whereabouts are you moving to?” Lyn pulled up the blinds and turned around the ‘closed’ sign.
“We’ve got a semi about a mile from Jamie’s old place. Mum and Dad helped us out with the deposit in the end. As soon as we move in we’re having a housewarming party, and you’d better come.”
