Behind Her Silence

Chapter Six

I woke up early as usual to get ready for church, Eddy accompanied me but Prisca decided to sleep in. I smiled at how she would regret that decision when she's fully awake. I told Eddy he would follow me to get some foodstuffs on our way back and he gladly agreed.

On our way back, we went to the supermarket. I always feel different whenever i go to church, it's my place of peace.

" okay, let's start what are we buying again?" He began with the questions.

" I brought a list, let's follow it. You take that aile, i will take the next". I said with so much laziness in me, he started laughing.

" So when do you and Prisca plan on leaving?" It was high time i asked this question, though I am asking when she's leaving not him.

" Are you trying to chase her away? I know you can't chase me away, so you're asking because of her" he smiled. " I thought you were still going to act clueless" I stood like a boss trying to get an answer from my scared worker.

" She's not here, and we both know I know what's going on between you two, I just don't want to get Involved" he said with so much concern. I took a while to arrange my thoughts and be considerate, he is her boyfriend but she's too clingy.

" You still haven't answered" i stared at him at the end of the aisle. " She's leaving tomorrow" he smiled and walked away.

We got home and he went to his room, I went to the kitchen to offload what we brought. " It seems she's not home, I wonder if she went looking for us". It would be crazy if that's so, by the time i was done arranging all i bought Prisca came in. Technically she went out, which was a weird thing to do on a Sunday but I guess not for her. She went straight to her room and whatever happened from when she entered was none of my business.

I am someone who really doesn't meddle in what i am not called to, " I am exhausted, 2:30 pm . It's quite late already and I have a lot to do". I immediately went to my room. I was so tired i slept off without having anything to eat.
