By noon, we had arrived at the city. My eyes widened in shock as we stood on top of a hill and stared down into the chaotic events happening below. “I take it neither of you have ever been to the city,” Jonas said as he eyed our expressions. There was a bit of amusement evident in his face. Both Elizabeth and I shook our heads, not taking our eyes off the city. There was a grey, smoky cloud hanging over the factories and a nasty smell poured out of the streets. The noise was almost unbearable and being a werewolf, the smells and sounds were almost too overwhelming. My wolf was whining inside my head in protest and I could feel her getting anxious in my mind.
