My lungs were burning as I ran in the chilly night with nothing more than a long-sleeved dress. My feet ached as they pounded on the ground, and the sound of my steps echoed in the forest around me. Something inside of me told me I had to keep on running. That I was in danger. Maybe if it was related to a human man walking under the influence of alcohol at this time of the night, I wouldn’t be so scared. But I knew that wasn’t the case. Both Morgan and my dreams had warned me about the hunters. That must mean they were nearby; they were gaining on us.
