Pat walked down Angas Street to Victoria Square, where he boarded a tram heading in the direction of the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The tram was crowded with office workers taking advantage of the free ride to the railway station on North Terrace, as they headed home at the end of their day in the city. Probably would have been quicker to walk, thought Pat, as the tram driver waited for the lights to change before turning onto North Terrace.
