Derek studied Jack Bragg through the two-way mirror. He was sitting in the interview room with his lawyer, Norman Schultz, who had a reputation for providing pro bono defence services for hopeless cases. Derek had heard Norman’s services were paid for through crowdfunding. Even sovereign citizens had anonymous benefactors, apparently. The neck tattoo gave Bragg a menacing appearance but he looked like any other thug to Derek: smug and defiant.
