Margaret was relieved to be in her own home after what she’d gone through at the hands of her captors. It felt good to be in her own clothes and in familiar surroundings. The rope burn mark on her neck had been treated by paramedics at the farm, and she’d been taken to the Royal Adelaide for a battery of tests and a thorough medical examination before she’d been allowed to come home. Fortunately, despite having lost consciousness during her strangulation ordeal, she’d come through the experience with no permanent physical damage. She wasn’t so sure she’d come through unscathed psychologically, but she’d have to wait and see how those scars would manifest themselves.
